Tomorrow will be 82 days since the last hit which was the length of time between the second and third hits. So if this is a pattern we are due a pair of hits any day Last summer we had a gap of 151 days between hits 7 & 8 April to September

Watching Richard Osman's House of Games this week I can help worry about the long term viability of Les Dennis. I know this is a repeat from 2021 but he looks very florid In the spirit of the show "Looking at Les Dennis which organ would he articulate might fail?"

This smacks to me of the 1992-97 administration but there is a huge difference John Major didn't expect to win in 1992 and was sat on a slim majority Johnson gamed the 2019 election which gave him a parliamentary majority but without a huge popular vote. However they have both faced challenges on the world stage but most of Johnson's biggest problems are self inflicted and could only be avoided by Johnson not being himself. He is determined to carry on regardless so it falls to the cabinet to remove him as the 1922 committee has failed but that could look like an unholy civil war -

Assuming that the Tories lose both by-elections today it does not automatically mean curtains for the Fat Lardy. He (under the current rules) be challenged again for 12 months but if one (or more) of his cabinet colleagues resigned it would but severe pressure on him and those who see their majorities evaporating at the next GE might push for some form of change. However the current cabinet is chock full of talentless, charismaless, self-serving, intellectually challenged bastards I cannot think of one who would either give up a job they know they could never dream of under any other leader (Dorres, Patel, Raab) or be afraid of the Heseltine rule (Truss, Sunak, Zahawi) which leaves very few options - Javid has resigned once before and nobody cared, Ben Wallace is probably in the best role he can be at the moment and hasn't made too many blunders, his resignation would be massive but not probably the best thing at the moment. Once you get outside the big rolls there are very few who people would actually think mattered so following this analysis I think the best person from the cabinet to resign to bring about the removal of Johnson would be.......... .......Kwasi Kwarteng Thoughts? -

It is interesting to note that her character, Mrs Rawston, has been recast in Series 2 but it was filmed under Covid restriction conditions so this may have influenced her decision to participate.

Monica Vitti made the crowdsourced list but Lester Piggott was not on either Crowdsourced or eligible for the inverse deadpool as one of the most picked in the DDP so I do not think he really counts as a Miss in that sense.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?

I have been contemplating giving up my Netflix subscription but we decided to wait because there was a new version of Jane Austen's Persuasion due for broadcast in July Yesterday I watched the trailer for the said adaptation. Andrew Davies once said that adapting Jane Austen is actually really easy because she feeds you really great dialogue In the whole trailer I was struggling to detect any of Jane Austen's dialogue. It looked like it had been made for people who find Bridgerton and Downton Abbey too demanding -
So if my sub had died before being promoted to the main team then they would be replaced but once they have gone onto the main team they count towards my total hits for the game. First one to six wins?

I think that Kier Starmer is weak and barely has any socialist principles in his meagre armory but harking back to the old Spitting Image sketch. Hey Nancy how do you stay so young looking..... Even as a Labour PM Kier will not just be able to surround himself with fawning reflections of himself for example Angela Rayner's position as deputy leader is an elected post and he cannot get rid of her without stepping down himself opening up the whole process of leadership At the moment I would be happy with a GNU led by Wee Jimmie Krankie than what we have got at the moment -
Forgive me if I am missing something but in the initial post you suggest that the aim of this game is to have all your picks die but then in the post above I am asked to replace my hit with another selection so this will mean that I will never have all my hits die or is it a case of first to four hits but you are allowed to keep a full rota of picks? I think I have been lucky to get the first hit as my knowledge of Boxing is limited to SHBDP II

I will pick Wilfred Benitez

After the two quick hits in April the pro rate rate climbed to 15 hits but following a very slow period the expected run out is now 9 hits For comparison the record breaking year of 2020 at this stage in the proceedings we were at 9 hits already and the 10th would come before the end of June I still think there might be a cluster of hits but I am not getting the feels from anyone in particular that would add to the tally However I do not think there have been many huge misses so far
