Does the joker double the whole points total? For example my Theme Team joker Penelope Lively is a unique and she is worth a base 6 points + 4 for being unique so is she worth 16 to me or 20? Just done a tot up of the points available to me on my theme team

I think we are very much in the mortuis nihil nisi bonum phase but I will just include this quote from his interview with Piers Morgan relating to his marriage to Rula Lenska "It's not difficult for a woman to make a man hit her. She certainly wasn't a beaten wife, she was hit and that’s different."

Too young for The Sweeney, too much discretion for Minder.

The only thing I watched him in was Life and Loves of a She-Devil. I saw some bits of that horrendous sit-com where Joan Sims and Sam Kelly desperately tried to breathe some life into proceedings which had been completely flattened by Dennis Waterman's completely lack of comic timing

In the New Testament bible story when Jesus entered Jerusalem and found the traders and money lenders in the temple he overturned theirs stalls. If he came back now I think he would probably firebomb the offices of The Bradford Exchange -

My theme team joker Penelope Lively is the subject of This Cultural Life tonight on Radio 4. Doesn't look like she will deliver me points this year. -
Seen Any Good Films Lately?

I went to the cinema on my own last night for the first ever time. I needed to kill some time whilst my wife and daughter were at a show in Birmingham. The choice was between Downton Abbey and the new Dr Strange film Because I do still have some standards I picked Marvel instead of Julian Fellows and went it. I will try to avoid spoilers but as this is the first Marvel film outside the X-Men franchise I have seen I am not sure what counts as spoilers but there were a lot of things that I felt I was missing the point of because I had not seen the preceding films. However even taking that into account between Benedict Cumberbatch's American accent and the complete lack of coherent plot it was not a great film just a series of overlong pitched special effects laden battles which bored me but judging by the response of the rest of the audience there was certain ripples of excitement when certain characters appeared though to me it just felt like those later series of Allo, Allo where the characters come on and say their line and it gets a laugh anyway whether it is funny or not. However I may not be the key demographic for this movie and possibly a grumpy old film snob -

Thank you @Death Impends for updating the theme team league. This is clearly my only chance of a decent showing and I am currently joint fourth on the theme team league 10 points off the top. Last year my TT had zero hits and therefore I think I am clearing up some stragglers from last year but I have loads of uniques and quite a few low hanging fruit Joan D. Vinge has had numerous health issues including a massive stroke several years ago, Peter Ackroyd was told to stop drinking or die, Lady Antonia Fraser has been a widow for forever and Ray Lawler and Arnold Yarrow and now Centarians

Does the same argument apply to Brexit?

Do you know when the theme team league might get updated? No pressure but I was hoping it happens before I fall out of the top 10.

North Shropshire was a safe seat

Can you replace David McKee with Norman Tebbitt please?

My best performance was joint 7th on the Theme Team league (68th overall in 2014) the same year I won the Inverse League

I know a lot of people get exercised by fame criteria about who should be included next year and argue endlessly about British Soap Stars, Radio Presenters and US Game Show hosts and my own bone of contention Wrestlers but the range of other games that are played here is where you have the opportunity to promote the less well known picks When I play the Deathlist cup I will look up any of my opponents picks who I do not know and if I feel they have some significance I may add them to my long list In the Inverse Deathlist if there is a name who makes it to the Drop Fifty who I am not aware of then it is probably a good bet that they are one to avoid as they are probably seriously on the way out Before he came to prominence here I had no idea who Bob Barker was but now I accept him totally as a legitimate target and will also play him. Also as we have no direct influence with the committee I think they would probably react better to seeing names circulating in competition rather than statements to the effect that if they do not inlcude xxxx in 2023 they are a clueless bunch of morons Advent Avalanche always comes at a good time for the committee as well

For those of you compiling a street party playlist for the Platinum Jubilee and want to also reflect the cost of living crisis this one from the Housemartins will definitely go down well

Liam Byrne is to be suspended from the commons MP Liam Byrne to be suspended from Commons for bullying former employee - BBC News Now if he was planning to step down at the next election he could cause a lot of mischief by resigning and saying that his behaviour was below that it should have been and he accepts full responsibility for his actions Just to contrast.......

It may not be misogynistic but it is sexist but I do get the impression the Conservatives are trying to find anything that anyone in the Labour party have done to take the heat out of the current issues that are circulating. The "they are all the same narrative" is one the Conservatives are OK with because reduced turnout favours them because they are better at getting their core vote out -
