Deaths of The Silver Screen Deadpool II
Bibliogryphon replied to Bibliogryphon's topic in Dead Pools
Congratulations @En Passant a new game will appear shortly. Prepare your ideas but please do not send them until the new thread opens -
If you look at this graph the days between 100 to 130 are generally relatively uneventful but the recent flurry of deaths puts us on course on a pro rata basis for about 15 hits (no year has ever ended on 15 hits) In 2013 the 5th hit came on 8th April but then the next date there was a 5th hit was in 2018 when it was on 12th May April is often a quiet time I suspect because the low hanging fruit goes in the first quarter and then there is a surge in the autumn as the how the hell are they not dead yet balance finally tips in our favour

Actually that reminds me of an interview I heard with Angela Lansbury where she was defending Murder She Wrote. She was the highest paid TV star at the time and she said for the 30 years previous she had almost continually been on tour or in theatre working extremely hard she felt she had earned the right to make some money at a more sedate pace. Contrasting that with John Laurie who complained about Dad's Army that he'd worked his entire life in the industry and he finally got some fame for this crap!

I had the same thought myself but I understood the principal that post Bedknobs and Broomsticks the thing she is best known for is an American serial.

Rob Burrow honoured at Windsor today.

Clearly Eastenders didn't make it across there. Most people in the UK would recognise the character even if they didn't watch the soap.

I thought June was fantastic as Dot Cotton and probably much better than the soap deserved. The Dot and Ethel episode is still a highlight from the early days. However she was brilliantly cast as Nanny Slagg in the BBC adaptation of Gormanghast where she played the character with indulgence, fragility but also cunning determination being one of the few that saw through Steerpike. If you haven't seen it, it is worth chasing down not only for June but John Sessions, Christopher Lee, Fiona Shaw and Spike Milligan's final role

Thanks for the update @machotrouts I do like the new format for the results table with the points gained and colour coding for the player who picked them It is looking less bad for me as I didn't pick June but there are still plenty of non-scorers who are competing for the title

I think they meant my continual (regular?) references to June Brown in this game

This story is not over. Until all the fines are issued and the full version of the Sue Grey report is published there is still potential to cause an upset. The local elections in May might focus the minds of some wavering Red Wall MPs

June Brown is my third hit

As @Perhaps joins the one away from winning group here are those all important hits arranged from oldest to youngest Nehemiah Persoff (02.08.19) Leslie Phillips (20.04.24) Mel Brooks (28.06.26) Jeannette Charles (15.10.27) Liz Sheridan (10.04.29) Tom Dahlgren (22.09.33) Could be anyone's race Fortunately at the moment none of these would end Scavenger Hunt as I am dreading them going out together -
Well how stupid of me for not remembering Estelle Harris appeared in Star Trek A unique pick for @gcreptile a third hit in a third category so is two hits away from winning in two different ways
