I think they occupy the same ground singer/actress from the punk pop era. At least HOC didn't eek out her career narrating children's programmes
-
LL was a one hit wonder. HOC was an acclaimed actress as well, shagged George Michael and I would suggest you listen to Will You? & rethink.

He would step down if he wants to run. He might temporarily step down and if he is unsuccessful he would take the post back. He stood down in 2019 to consider a run and reassumed the post on a temporary basis until after the 2019 election when he was reelected.

Eighth Day was the first 'proper' single I ever bought

Yeah but she spilt most off it

Just seen this very sad news on Facebook

Great work getting this up so quickly I have 31 unique picks across my three teams but considering my theme team scored zero last year is probably not a good thing However my main team has no uniques so this is across two teams and with Unusual Suspects it is really the point I think George Alagiah getting the top spot on the Drop 40 really goes to show how many big beasts we have lost in the last couple of years

I suspect the whole issue about the licence fee is being used as a proxy war. The announcements about changes to the funding arrangement are being made to seem like an attack on the 'woke' bloated behemoth that is the BBC because that will play well with a certain sector of the population. Those stauch defenders see the attacks in the same way but as has been pointed out tge media landscape has changed. The question is there are things the BBC do well Documentaries, Light Entertainment, Drama, Radio but it is how to preserve the best of these in a new funding arrangement that does not discriminate against any particular sector. I would rather have the BBC free to air and paid for through a form of taxation because I suspect if I had to opt in it would take me a long time to do it. I am a late adopter to technology.

There was a petition circulating on FB to carry out a public enquiry into the safety of vaccines that was copied to be by a wider family member who is anti mask/vaccines which made me wonder who they think would chair such an enquiry? Let's face it, it is never going to be Piers Corbyn, David Icke or the bald blokes from Right Said Fred, so would the people calling for such an enquiry accept its results

Still part of the residual 20/20 game

How long will we have to enter?

The in-laws have not been well recently so my wife has been over to help them out with cleaning and stuff but they do watch a lot of daytime TV and when I say David Dickinson the other day my first thought was how old he had begun to look Good call

When did Nancy Reagan make her debut?
-
I am not going to defend Thatcher but she at least had principles and ideals which she governed by. The only principal BJ follows is does he benefit from it. He was not even a true Brexiteer he just saw the campaign as his best route to the top job

I don't necessarily agree. However they should be used sparingly but I would give more lassitude to the inclusion of a US President, VP or FLOTUS (or Presidential challenger) than say a wrestler or someone's day. They would fall into the two big to miss category but agree Biden should not be on the list until there is evidence he deserves to be
-
Like Bush and Carter Not sure how long Clinton is going to go without being on there
-
Conversely it is almost certain that Biden will make the list at some point as long as he doesn't go suddenly. I can't remember the last time a list did not have a US president, Vice-President or First Lady on.

There have only been seven picks made in the residuals game so far. Entries are open until the first elimination or all the names are gone In this game you are looking for who will survive longest. The champion cannot select until they have been declared (1st Jan) and once the champion has picked it will be a free for all. Picks will be allowed until either all the names are gone or the first eligible pick dies. The picks will be then locked in and the game can dwindle to its natural conclusion. The residual 20/20 game is still going. You do not have to have participated in 20/20 + 1 to play the residual game 1921 Residuals 1. Hans Albert 2. Iris Apfel 3. Bill Butler - Marinisia 4. This is one of the names where I knew of the book but did not know of the background of the writer and it sent me scurrying to do the research. Not on my radar but should have been. Other names like Durst were not on my radar and would probably not be unless someone in the Scavenger Hunt decided convicted murderers was a good category going forward (This is not a hint!!)

There are a number of more popular writers such as Len Deighton and Frederick Forsyth who would be worth watching and dare I say George RR Martin or Philip Pullman?
