Well the contest has been running for 60 years and if on average there are at least 25 entries each year then without taking account of groups that is 1500 to pick from. Great category choice.

And since the Crowdsourced is open to all comers and not just the elusive cabal of the committee then if enough of us had thought that the speculation around Connery's poor health had legs we could have nominated him. Diana Rigg was so much a shock she was not anywhere near my 1500 name long list. -

We have the crowdsourced list for comparison. If Connery was on it or your shadow list you can see yeah he should have been on the list otherwise it is a miss all round and we move on -

Well this couldn't have come at a worse time. Congratulations to @gcreptile Terry Gilliam's fantasy masterpiece Time Bandits is the first entry into our Hall of Fame and will be out of bounds in all future rounds. Wolf Hall is excellent. Very slow but beautiful. Impressive cast as well.
