DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis

Not sure where to put this one but when I am travelling if I get bored I will play Candy Crush Soda on my phone but because it is linked to FB it tells me how all my friends are doing. There is only one person who is ahead of me at the moment but this is where it gets awkward she is a friend who was in the year below me at school and asked to be my friend when I was chatting to other people about our primary school. I was at Scouts with her brother and she lived on the same street as me but acquaintances really rather than friends. However I keep being asked to send her lives and share my results with her but I know she is dead because her husband posted it a couple of months ago on her account. Came as a massive shock and I know it is just the way Facebook works but it is really strange. -
She doesn't look to happy either

The great thing about Tales of the Unexpected was the short anthology nature of the show attracted the top talent. There is one with John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson in. Could be worth a list for British Character Actors

I would have thought Brass would have been his signature role.

If I were a salesman I would actually be detailing why you would need an outfit that came with such a hefty price tag. -

Even though I technically work in the fashion industry. How the hell does a single outfit cost in excess of £60K? -

The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey
Bibliogryphon replied to YoungWillz's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Head of the Civil Service said last week that the latest the election should be held in the year is 12th December because around Christmas many polling stations would not be available. I don't understand everyone's problem with Corbyn. He comes across as a decent bloke. Why does he generate such vitriol? -

There is too much in the new WA they requires Parliament and the public to trust Johnson and if he were a Top Trumps card his trust score would be so low the only person he could beat would be Carl Beech. -

The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey
Bibliogryphon replied to YoungWillz's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
If he gets the whole of the ERG he might just manage it but Nigel Farage has already said this is not Brexit. Whilst at the moment Nigel is irrelevant if the Brexit party field candidates against the Conservative party they could cost Boris seats and also if Brexit is 'done' Corbyn will move the argument on to austerity and fears of US involvement in the NHS which will be much more fertile ground for him. I also think the four year period before Stormont gets a veto is a red herring. There is a possibilty a cross border poll on Irish Unification will be held before the four years are up. -

I have seen one suggestion that Boris wants to make Saturday's vote Deal or No Deal - no extensions. If ERG & DUP don't back it Boris gets his No Deal by default. Could trigger a VoNC but there is going to be an election anyway. But he can claim he negotiated a deal in good faith Cynical, self serving arrogant fucking bastard -
There are those on the far left who are anti-Semitic but Corbyn is not amongst them. His support for Palestine and criticism of the Israeli government is being deliberately portrayed as anti-Semitic by the Blairite wing. He does not have the support of the parliamentary party but he would win any vote put to the party membership. The mechanism that the Tories have makes it easier to remove a leader by MPs

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019
Bibliogryphon replied to The Mad Hatter's topic in DeathList Forum
Another hit in the next couple of days would take us ahead of 2008 & 2015 both of which were 14 Death years -
Still just one hit ahead of the main list. I had dropped Brackers from my provisional 2020 list though.
