This is very sad. Blake's 7 is such an important part of my childhood (an adulthood to be fair)

I am now picturing Ann Widdicombe as a Bond villain in her hidden base in the darkest Cotswolds where she has developed her anti- gay ray with which she will destroy musical theatre, the game of rugby & MCM Comicon -

I think they would wait and see if they get a bounce in the poles. It would be helpful if they had something to point to as an achievement. Lord Ashcroft latest polling suggests they would lose over 160 seats and Labour would not get a majority. However Labour would be able to form a majority with either the Lib Dems or the SNP. Until the numbers look better they will not be rushing to the polls unless the have no choice (VONC) -

Sydney Lotterby is a dead cert obit. If nothing else he would get pride of place on Last Word even on a busy week like last week. His CV reads like a roll call of all the best seventies and eighties sitcoms. -
MMMDP Form Guide #42 Timothy Dudley-Smith The former Bishop of Thetford who wrote Tell Out My Soul is now 92. As a child during boring sermons at my church I used to flick through the Methodist Hymn book fascinated by the dates of birth and death of all the hymn writers. When the new hymn book - Hymns and Psalms was published in 1983 they did try to include a number of Twentieth Century writes including F. Pratt-Green & Sydney Carter. However I think Timothy Dudley-Smith is the last one standing. Will he Sell out his soul in June?

@Wormfarmer As there have been hits this month I am presuming we will need to send in new teams for June. When will you be accepting these?

I think Amber Rudd's decision not to run is very wise. I think she has looked at the political landscape and realised her brand of One Nation Conservatism isn't going to wash at the moment. If the Conservatives do split I see her as a potential leader of the resulting centre right party. One of the problems the hard Brexiteers have is that they seem incapable of any form of compromise, including with each other. Rory Stewart has set himself apart by saying he would not serve with Boris Johnson and whilst he is still committed to delivering Brexit there has to be someone all those One Nation Tories can feel comfortable with, he might be that man. So whilst the right of the party fight like rats in a sack to be more brexity than the next man he might garner enough support to get on to the final ballot. Unless there is a remain candidate....... -
Does anyone think Anne Widdicombe does not look 100% now that she is back in politics?
