This is truly awful. I lost my mum when I was 9. In someways though you have it worse because you know what is happening as a child the family did try to shield me. I am so sorry.

In terms of capturing the correct tone of dignity and remembrance for the centenary of the WW1 seems to have passed by the authorities in Brussels responsible for the 'Mannequin pis'. I had heard that the 'attraction' was underwhelming but I was not prepared for unbelievably tacky.

I would suggest that about 60% of those names will be under consideration but I suspect when all is taken into account no more than 4 end up on the final list. The committee have a massive list to choose from.
