Can we talk about John Deacon? He has basically stepped aside from all Queen related things and let Brian May and Roger Taylor do what they want with his conditional blessing. There was no hint of illness or acrimony just someone who has enough money to live how he wants to for his remaining days which could be anywhere between 4 and 40 years. From a deadpooling point of view he is either going to be a massive risk or a massive miss. Will he be invited to the Premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody? If he doesn't go I do not know when he will next get publicity.

The 2018 list has now overtaken 2013 which resulted in 13 hits but is still two hits behind 2015 which resulted in 14 hits. So I think the range 12-14 is where it will finish.

The EU Referendum Hokey Cokey
Bibliogryphon replied to YoungWillz's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Unfotunately the only thing that might save us is the Tory leadership election rulebook. If either name is put before the whole Tory Party membership they would most likely win. Polling a couple of months back suggested only Javid and Davidson would beat them and Javid stock has fallen since then. The big battle will be getting the name on the ballot which is decided by sitting Tory MPs. The ERG has over 50 members. -

If TM had been serious about delivering the best Brexit for Britain after the election rather than putting herself in thrall to the DUP she should have proposed a Government of National Unity to deliver Brexit with another election in the summer of 2019. This would have tied the Labour votes in and weakened the hand of the extreme Brexiteers. I see the ERG have agreed not to move against TM until after Brexit this is because the don't have an alternative to Chequers and do not want to risk a people's vote. So either she will deliver No Deal (which is what some of them seem to want) but can be portrayed as a failure or she will deliver Chequers which will be sold as not a proper Brexit. Either way she is done for and they will attempt a right wing coup and still have three years until they need to hold a General Election. -

My Dad turned 16 in 1945 but he was enrolled for national service which he did in Palestine after the end of the war. He is not a WWII vet.

The fact that Jacqueline Pearce is not in there is a travesty of the highest order. The BBC should show some loyalty to their own.

What Brexiteers need to be mindful of is that the EU as a political issue will not go away. The LDs under a new leader will become the anti-UKIP picking up lots of votes at non-westminster elections and there will be factions in both major parties that will want to rejoin the EU. However if there is ever a political consensus to that end and we do reapply the EU will not allow us to rejoin on the deal we currently have. We will be expected to adopt the Euro there will be no exemptions, no rebates and they might push for us to join Shengan. Unless Brexit works for all the Brexiteers might lose the long game. -
Well I did a quick scan last night to see if Burt was a hit here but although @ajlposh picked Cannonball Run II Burt was not on the team but @Spade_Cooley gets a hit will Will Jordan in The Doors although this film is not listed on his wiki page.

Finally a BBC Obit for Jacqueline Pearce.

My Twitter feed was just full of Jacqueline Pearce last night she sounded totally outragous. Biggest September death already sealed?
