At my previous job we had to do extended days to supervise junior staff who were working. One guy and I were meant to be on alternate weeks of earlies and lates after one day we decided to permanently switch I would do the early and he would do the late. It worked better for us both.

On my graph I have eight previous year's data. At the moment 2018 is laying in the middle 4 above and 4 below. If that is to continue the next window for death is between 29th May and 7th June. We are still ahead of record breaking 2017.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

I also might be being harsh on Christopher as he is not the sole beneficiary of the estate but he is the literary guardian of his father's works. A bit concerned what will happen when Christopher dies. Will there be a Tolkien free for all as the extended family try to make as much money as possible. Contrast Christopher with say Brian Herbert and it looks a lot more respectful. -
One of the clever things that Roy Clarke did in Keeping Up Appearances was to name the four sisters with flower names. Hyacinth, Daisy, Rose and Violet but not draw any attention to it.

The worst performance in recent years was 2011 when we had 7 hits so I think there are many more to come. The latest that the fourth death has come in the last five years is day 176 which is 25th June 2014 and we had 10 hits that year. No need for panic.

To be fair. I think Christopher has made more money out of his father's literary legacy than the dear old Prof. did during his lifetime. -
When she goes both the oldest living former titles will pass to Republican spouses. First Lady: Laura Bush (b.1946) one year older than Hilary Second Lady: Lynne Cheney (b.1941) seven years older than Tipper Gore but only three years separate Tipper, Marilyn Quayle and Jill Biden.

If the whole family trapsed in there would be a suspicion of saying goodbye. -
Courtney Love was a guest judge on Ru Paul's Drag race last week. Whilst she looked OK (not great just OK) she was completely out of it. When she spoke nothing she said made sense. I was really worried about her. I probably won't put her on my list for 2019 but if I turned on the radio tomorrow and it was announced she was dead I would be shocked but not surprised.

One from a few days ago illustrator Laura Roslof had died aged 69. She produced the infamus Illusion of the Decapus drawing for the orange edition of the Dungeons and Dragons module B3 The Palace of the Silver Princess which resulted in TSR executives recalling all the editions from distributos and even going round the office after the staff had gone home removing any copies which were all then sent to a massive landfill site. Jean Wells' text was rewritten by Tom Moldvey and the illustrations altered and the module republished with a green cover. The few orange editions that survived are now collector's items.
