I am not convinced he will go in 2016 but he is too big a name to miss. I think we will pick him every year (high 30s) -
Robert Hardy is also an expert on the medieval long bow iirc

Soon it will be December and we can all get back to arguing which celebrities the committee should put on the 2016 list and then in January bemoaning the fact that they haven't included all 75 of your suggestions. All this will be as an Autumn leaf. -
Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?

Mickey Dolenz has the look of someone who'll be gurning zanily about the Monkees legacy for another 20 years...he'll probably outlast the remaining Beatles as well. Not too sure about that he has a very strained look. I think the one built for durability is Mike Nesmith. -
Easy. Louis - just been thrown out of a hotel in Newcastle the other week for being too drunk. Sounds like proper rock star behaviour to me.

UKIP select John Bickley as their candidate. They are quick out of the stalls but the poll is four weeks tomorrow. An early December by-election is going to be tricky. Will the weather determine the winner? The Labour short list contains a candidate with strong local credentials and the selection process will exclude members of less than 6 months standing so I do not think the Left will parachute a candidate in. Labour have to win and win big. Any reduction in vote share will be seized on by opponents. Conservatives will get their excuses in early.

Otherwise we could discuss which member of One Direction will follow the career path laid out by Stephen Gately.

I always thought it was an urban myth but I had it confirmed by somebody in academia that Newcastle Poly had selected the City University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and only when they had the printed letter head created did they realise there was a problem.

I hate Kes. We were made to read the book at school. I think I might promote Barry Hines to my theme team.

Are those two statements linked in any way? Headline of NE versus what the actual text of the article says Oh right, that's almost proper reporting, then. Respect to the NE. is it known what type it could be something really bad like pancreatic cancer or something that is not as life threatening. I just scanned the article and it looks like she had mysterious visits to her doctor. Speculation but no evidence. She is planning to publish her memoirs in 2017 so I think this is another example of NE scattergun approach to journalism

What Do You Think Of The 2015 Death List?
Bibliogryphon replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
When the list was published I was a little disappointed but the committee have shown that the picks have been good. I think the same types of names (90+ etc) in previous years may have yielded less hits. I struggled to work out who I would drop when I wrote my list of names to exclude. These were not the only choices that could have been made but we can't complain. -
During a discussion at work today about Captain Beaky looked up Keith Michell - turns 89 at the beginning of next month. Retired in 2010.

Who Should Be On The 2016 Deathlist?
Bibliogryphon replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
Whilst I agree with a few of those outright, Lamotta has been on every single Deathlist since 2004 and Castro has raked up 4 straight appearances and 12 in total so I only see one way in which both will leave the list. They seem to keep the long timers on now, after missing out on Patrick Moore. I could see Eddie Large and Ken Kercheval appearing in the great list of "one time only" Deathlist candidates, like Peter Tork. Well now we only need to lose 12 I will reinstate Castro. It was quite hard to narrow down those names. There is still time for Peter Tork to make a reappearance. After Davy Jones' surprise death a few years ago all three remaining Monkees are fair game. I hope there is not a token wrester on the list. Please just let 2015 be an aberation. -
Thought about sticking with Leslie Phillips, also contemplated keeping the old Hollywood theme with either Kirk Douglas or Olivia de Havilland. There was also a strange feeling that Richard Adams is abour due but decided to go for Cliff Mitchelmore as he would be be an off radar hit.
