The people who have gone this year are those who have serious and dedicated fan bases Nimoy, Pratchett, King, Benaud even Simon to some degree. When are all the murderers, dictators and light entertainers going to go?

We can wish, how about Jonathon?

I voted for Clive James

That is a very good point but I fear an academic one given that the Tories blocked this during the last parliament so the likelihood of it happening now is pretty close to zero. However for future reference I would consider this to be on a par with criminal activity, making yourself so unpopular with a significant proportion of the electorate so this will secure 20 points.

Have to cause a by-election, so I would say yes. Yes these are sitting MPs from the current parliament. You can if you wish include the speaker or any of the Northern Ireland parties. I am pleased to say I have received the first entry(apart from mine).

Sir Peter Fry, Conservative MP for Wellingborough between 1969-1997 has died. No Obit yet.

Just thought I would point out that Syd Little has been announced as one of the contestents on this summer's Celebrity Masterchef. I presume they are filming/have just filmed for later broadcast. If he does well we might get a glimpse of Eddie.

Sorry I thought that they might be moved over with the rest of the posts from That UK General Election Thing. And now they have (apologies DDT). I have put my team into a spreadsheet and now await others Answers to questions: I only need the name. The reason will determine the points awarded (see post 1) There will be no bonus points awarded for the reason. The Engineer - I would seriously advise not taking financial advice from me.

I am not going down the joker route. If an MP dies I will ask any players who have picked them for a sub but I will also indicate (after the game starts) who picked them just for the Kudos. I have mine in rough better get it on before anyone sends me a team which may influence me.

That UK Election Thing

OK to get back on topic to avoid annoying any non-member posters. After that election devestation should now be the time that the Lib Dems and the Green party start talking about electoral alliances possibly moving towards a formal merger later on. Considering that the upswell in votes for the Green's probably came from mainly disaffected Lib Dem voters it might be a way for both parties to advance and it might drag the Lib Dems away from the Orange book brigade and keep the Greens from tipping over the edge of reason. -
Please can all entries be submitted by 30th June 2015. Let me have any questions. Be prepared for the long haul.

Hmmmmmm. Let me think........................ No. We're only discussing the possible options. When the contest is about to begin, I'm sure Bibliogryphon will open a thread for it. Now, crawl back under your stone. BTW Bibliogryphon, is this contest open to members only or will guests be allowed to enter? I would hope that anyone who would want to play would decide to be a member because it would limit the discussion if the winner was Guest_Guest. I think the thread would become full of anti-guest bile. However if they had an amusing team name I would let them play. Point taken I think we have enough interest for the new thread to start. If when I open the thread a kind and obliging mod could do the honours re moving approriate posts it would be most appreciated.

I disagree I think he comes from the I have been elected to do this job for five years and will morally see the parliament out unless he is infirm and could no longer do it to the best of his ability. If there is a safe labour seat going I do not see it as a shoe in there is someone else who might cause a bit of brother bother.

He'll be on everyone's lists. But then, he's still going and then Jim Dobbin dobbed off getting drunk on Polish spirits. Thats the lottery of death for you. I cannot recall any Father of the House dying whilst holding the post. They haven't since the Great War at least (I got bored checking by that point), but Kaufman is much older than any of the previous ones in the last century bar Winston Churchill. There we have it Gerald Kaufman's determination vs Deathlister's wishful thinking. Who are we kidding we can't even push Zsa Zsa over the edge.

Bowie is probably best described as inconsistent for every Ashes to Ashes, Life on Mars or Lets Dance there is something like Absolute Beginners or some unlistenable to pretention that failed to trouble the top 40. However there is the mighty triumph that is Labyrinth.

What Do You Think Of The 2015 Death List?
Bibliogryphon replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
I think like last year we will get to 10 with James, Crowe, Adulyadej, King, Philips, Sallis, Norden, Mugabe providing the points. It really has slowed down. I haven't had a hit on my work game since Richie Benaud and there are over 400 names at play in that. -

What Do You Think Of The 2015 Death List?
Bibliogryphon replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
Last year we didn't get the third hit until 15th June but overall it was an average year. We are five deaths behind the high water mark of 2008. However like an episode of Tipping Point all those silver disks are on the brink of tumbling down. -

Children's author James Watson dies aged 78 I got all excited when I saw that on Twitter because I have his scientist namesake in my team. -
Pink Floyd Fleetwood Mac Deep Purple Genesis replaced Peter Gabriel with Phil Collins. It was different but most of thier commercial success came after the change.

Whilst that sounds like a massive tax paid holiday for you. I would rather give you the job than have Philip Hammond do it. -

This result for the Tories is a bit like the Derek Bentley case. They pull the trigger their accomplice gets hanged.
