Since when has he been bed ridden with alzheimers. The last picture that was posted (albeit some time ago) he looked obscenely healthy considering his age.

Went for Denis Norden. There doesn't seem to be any consensus this time so it could come from anywhere.

I'm in the same boat. Occasionally funny but it doesn't really do it for me. I must admit that I had no idea who Sam Simon was until he started being discussed on this forum.

That UK Election Thing
Bibliogryphon replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It has been said that the past is a foreign country... Which is ironic really as that where most of the UKIP supporters come from..... -
Great Song/Noughties Does not compute, fatal error. Come on! It wasn't all tosh... No, not quite all. And since this is Room Lovely, let's see Bruce getting his shirt off. You try to convince me that the noughties had some good music and Exhibit A is Bruce Springsteen if there is anyone who looks and sounds like they have been left over from the Seventies it is Bruce. I also think that durable artists don't count unless that was the era when they came to prominence. I await Exhibit B. Here's the NME's top 100 songs of the noughties. There must be something there that isn't tosh, though Beyonce's Crazy in Love gets top spot, so.... Thank you Time. I have just been through the entire list. If there were a comparable list for the Eighties I could probably sing the refrain (very badly) from 80%. I only wrote down three songs that fitted my criteria I rejected Can't get you out of my Head because I count Kylie as a durable artist and The Futureheads version of The Hounds of Love because it was a cover version. Which leaves me with Crazy - Gnarls Barkley, Empire State of Mind - Alicia Keyes and Umbrella - Rihanna. I think it is best if I keep a distant relationship with Noughties music. We will all be a lot happier.

Damn that will screw up my best ever Deathlist performance then unless the other celebrity bed blocker Leslie Philips can beat him to it.

Third hit from this list from last August with Beryl Platt dying. you missed out Philip Knights who died in December. you must keep up ! Thank you - whoever you are. I struggle to pay attention during the festive season. 5 have gone now. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-31513192 Quarter of your list have died in just 6 months 1 Former UUP leader Jim Molyneaux dead at 94 http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/james-molyneaux-former-uup-leader-dies-age-94-31051422.html Good spot that Guest Why didn't I use this as a DDP team?

Did you actually get my entry because I just checked and I had Loius Jourdan and I had played my joker on Jeffrey Segal which I calculate gives me 117 points? Edit: I have checked back and I am there squeezed between Shaun of the Dead and The Engineer. Points please.....

Well I see it has already received some rave reviews in the British press. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/eurovision/11457228/Eurovision-2015-Electro-Velvet-will-ensure-we-dont-win.html But staying on topic, it's worth noting that the female part of the duo, Bianca (26) is living with cystic fibrosis, an incurable, hereditary disease that reduces lifespans by 20+ years with large variance. Some people with the condition may die in their twenties (albeit this is now rare), so she could make a weak but potentially lucrative DDP candidate (low likelihood of dying, but many points if she dies). On a related note, the Finnish contestants are middle aged punk rockers "with learning disabilities". One of them looks as if he had a hereditary genetic defect. Of course, even IF... an obit in the UK would be in doubt. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/feb/27/finnish-punk-band-take-punt-eurovision-title Is there any Deathlist potential behind the sudden withdrawal of the winner of the German preliminary competition? I was wondering about that, poor lad going from Voice of Germany 2013 to Ideas and Possibilities for 2016. Immortality of sorts..

These aren't the roids you're looking for.... Coat time!

What an inconsiderate bastard. Doesn't he care about our deadpool teams?

Denials coming in with a report of a public appearance today

The premier league is now 22 years old (first full season was 1992/3) and there were 22 founding members of PL. None of the original managers are still in post and two have died Brian Clough (Notts Forest) and John Lyall (Ipswich) which leaves a nice round list of twenty: George Graham b.1944 (Arsenal) Ron Atkinson b.1939 (Aston Villa) Kenny Dalgleish b.1951 (Blackburn Rovers) David Webb b.1946 (Chelsea) Bobby Gould b.1946 (Coventry City) Steve Coppell b.1955 (Crystal Palace) Howard Kendall b.1946 (Everton) Howard Wilkinson b.1943 (Leeds United) Graham Souness b.1953 (Liverpool) Peter Reid b.1956 (Manchester City) Alex Fergusson b.1941 (Manchester United) Lennie Lawrence b.1947 (Middlesborough) Mike Walker b.1945 (Norwich City) Joe Royle b.1949 (Oldham Athletic) Gerry Francis b.1951 (QPR) Dave Bassett b.1944 (Sheffield United) Trevor Francis b.1954 (Sheffield Wednesday) Ian Branfoot b. 1947 (Southampton) Doug Livermore b.1947 (Tottenham Hotspur) Joe Kinnear b.1946 (Wimbledon) Ron Atkinson seems like the obvious choice but many of them are now turning 70....

Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

At the same time as Harvey Proctor's home was being raided. Raids were also carried out on Leon Brittan's homes and Lord Bramhall's home -

This is a film I hope really gets made. Many do not know about the Armenian genocide and it is about time the general public know about it, especially young people who don't seem to be informed about world history. Hope this gentleman lives to see his film in movie theaters. Adopt an unwanted pet? We already have a snake on the list we don't want.

Well I got it. Run out of Likes for the day.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
Bibliogryphon replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
I still associate him most with the Doctor Who episode City of Death where he ages to death and becomes a skeleton (and of course as Peppa Pig's Grandpa). I thought the voice sounded familiar when I was watching Peppa Pig the other day with my daughter. The voice cast for Peppa Pig is pretty impressive. Daddy Pig is the actor Richard Ridings who I saw as the Duke of Cornwall in King Lear at the RSC. When he ripped out Gloucester's eyes it was brutal. Morwenna Banks plays (i think) Mummy pig and she was a veteren of the classic Radio 4 comedy Radio Active. I only found this out when I went to visit my Brother-in-law who has twin two year olds. -
I don't mind people posting things double and let that slight most of the time, but then also claiming you are the first to post it without properly checking I feel is just arrogant... It was already posted in the Star Trek-thread yesterday... And also now in the Leonard Nimoy thread but to be fair this was after Sir C's post.

Hey, you guys are the ones who have spent a whole century and more trying to make it illegal to be posh...... check yourself before you wreck your self maybe? This is cultural not political. No-one wants to see Bertie Wooster wearing a back to front baseball cap.

Is Hudis ill or are we just naming anyone we think of over 90? No one should be brought up in this thread without a medical condition even if it was something from the past---but it better be good ("Mr Hudis had a heart attack in 2009" would work). This isn't a 90-something brainstorming thread. Lastly, YOU are the poster, the onus is on YOU to provide the name and information as to why they are, as the title suggests, a 'possibility', not on me or anyone else to go figure it out. I think we know who the lazy one is here . SC I didn't want this to pass without comment. This is a discussion board. Someone might post the name of a 90+ celebrity because they have no information at all and want to raise the point with other contributors. This type of discussion would be helpful to the committee so that there picks might actually die during the year in question as opposed to release an album with Lady GaGa and go on tour. If someone has said "I haven't seen Lewis Collins on telly recently" someone might have thought he would be a outside chance for a DDP team. I like open and informed debate, if information is not of use or interest to me I skim over it.
