Surely that is going to be a problem as cops should only shoot civilians when they are on duty

No, but I remember doing a crossword once and a clue was tidal forces upset communist president. P.S. I'm doing a crossword at the minute and I think 7 up is lemonade but I'm not certain. SLIDE FART Co.

Not exactly the point in theses cases though. William Roache is a pretty shite actor but his characters icon status will mean his deathed is griefporned to hell like Anne Kirkbrides has. I missed her off a fucking corrie theme team for crying out loud.... I think it is right for Lardy to make this point at this time. She spent 42 years playing a character that was defined by the size of glasses she wore. It is for the tabloid press to carry out the griefporn but when someone goes we assess their work objectively. There have been some passing that have been marked by an outpouring of genuine affection on these pages which is probably worth a lot more than glorifying everyone that dies. However there may be a lingering resentment for Anne that she managed to pass under the radar. Oddly enough someone in my work game played her as a wildcard and I then remembered that she had been given time off. "One to watch for next year" I thought........ Ha -

She ain't coming back This is very annoying considering those of us who continually put faith in the Liz Dawn and Jean Alexander picks for Anne to come from nowhere. Soapstars 1 Deathlisters 0 -
King Edward VII only reigned for 9 years. He died on 6th May 1910. How many British Edwardians are there?

I am glad you have only just discovered that. He is a unique pick on my DDP theme team. -
Very happy to have 20 uniques across my three teams. Including one of my hits so far. Likewise happy to pen some bios just let me know.
-
This confused me as I thought 112 was the average age of people on the Isle of Wight.
-
Hell yeah, though a big death could shake it up. Gabor and Graham aren't on di's team. Simon is on his team but is joker for seven others. But di has Martin Crowe and Misao Okawa ..... and loads of people I have never heard of.
-
So DI needs only two more hits before the 17th March. I think that will be certainly possible and quite likely.

Her condition has deteriorated-she's now said to be 'fighting for her life' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2911356/Crime-writer-Ruth-Rendell-fighting-life-stroke.html If I had picked Ruth Rendall and Barbara Vine would I get double points? Unfortunately I picked neither this year -
This makes a much larger pool than in the past two years as there were 171 picks in 2013 and 189 picks in 2014. However this may not correlate into a faster game as 2013 was over by March and 2014 dragged into August. It may make the likelihood of a draw lower though.
-
Which team picked Franco Zeffirelli? I have just done some initial crunching on the numbers and I make 284 Picks. If everyone had picked uniques that would have been 460. I will compare to the last two years and report back
-
Bernard Ingham or Antonia Fraser would also be possibilities

What I don't want to see in the Drop 40 are a series of "inspirational" bloggers whose only claim to fame is their impending death.

If he is still with us I am hoping that for the main list in 2016 the committee give due consideration to William Russell. Not only are their sufficient number of die hard Doctor Who fans here but his connection to the dwindling number of The Great Escape survivors makes him notable.

There has been some speculation about that in the press during his university and navy years, the only time he could move with some independence. The speculations fed on negative evidence: no visible girlfriends. In that time he gained his nickname 'Prins Pils' after his steadily growing beer gut. The government refused to comment on those speculations. His marriage and fatherhood put an end to them. Similar speculations about prince Friso being gay were much stronger and eventually denied by him. Again marriage and fatherhood put an end to those speculations. regards, Hein Just like it did with Prince Edward.

Are you an actual, you know, human being? Possibly the forums most "robotic poster" or a human with the personality characteristics of a well used blow up doll. We are certainly attracting some high quality posters nowdays, aye. Now, there's a decent question. Could a bot post here without detection and - if so - for how long. And, how long before those of us keen on a bit of dead pooling start considering packing up and going home because we're thrashed in all competitions by specially written software? "We believe that when you create a machine to do the work of a man, you take something away from the man." - Sojef. Haha, Trekkie! In other news, tell us more about this "hypothetical" future world where we all get thrashed at deadpooling by a robot, MPFC....... I can't which is why I was asking but I'm assuming a computer programme to beat a human at dead pooling would be way easier to write than one to beat a human at chess. It would need to be able to trawl newspaper coverage of celebrities and illness/old age, vector in the relative survival chances and make some allowance for the uncertainties, like the points at which the likes of Zsa Zsa tease us about their real age and the state of their health. I'm not an expert in programming, but that's easier than the kind of programmes that people like actuaries use, right? It would be prone to the same skewing by celebs who drone on and on about their illness without dying and people like Lewis Collins who are in the pine box before we knew they were ill.

I think Zsa Zsa Gabor is testament to the patience of all who post on this site.

Thanks to the Guardian I would just like the opportunity to say "ere we go, ere we go, ere we go..." repeat ad naseum
-
Hell yeah, I'm still fairly confident that one of the big hitters - Gabor, Simon or Graham - will go early in a flurry of cashed in jokers and an explosion of points. If all three of them went would that take someone over the finish line? Hell yeah, it'd - possibly - give us the first opportunity to invoke the tiebreak plan where in the event of more than one person hitting the winning score on the same death we award the title to the highest overall scorer. Just like the excitement last year then.

The Guardian - Not just there for the nasty things in life such as pointing out the malfeasence of the establishment but providing Obits for your risky theme team picks. It will be J R Hartley next.... -

That gives time for someone to publish a obit for Gene Kemp before I see whether or not anyone else picked her
