Dian Fossey dealt with Gorillas, Jane Goodall chimps. Don't make this mistake in front of the Librarian.

Two for the price of one. Dick van Dyke and Valerie Harper to appear in new TV show.

How many Channel 5 viewers even remember him or the original show?? I don't know about the original show but if they remembered how to use the remote control they wouldn't be watching Channel 5.

I was looking at the Deathlist names thread on Monday night and thought that I would post something about the person who was at the bottom of the thread (longest since last post) that person was Sid Caeser I looked for any new information on him, pictures of him looking really ill but couldn't find anything worth adding so I posted something about Charles Aznavour instead. Like Shirley Temple this came out of nowhere but didn't come as a surprise whereas all these hospital yo-yos get us all worked up and don't deliver. Good call DL Committee.

This is good news. I am a big admirer of Tony Benn. The only downside is that he is on my Deathrace Team so each day are potential points ebbing away.

Pity she wasn't on the list. You could have used Temple of Doom as the headline

Your interpretation may not be inaccurate, but please don't perpetuate the incorrect use of the term "paedophile". Paedos (sic) are sexually attracted to children - prepubescent children, not 15 year old girls. I believe Mr Sedaka is an American, and the legal age of consent varies between states. So the young lady in question might even be "illegal" at 17, depending on where she resided. It has naff all to do with paedophilia, though. Thank you for your clarification and I consider myself chastised but it might be helpful if you could do something about the whole of the British press who use the term almsot indiscriminately when talking about sexual allegations about celebrities. Tonight's the night I've waited for Because you're not a baby anymore You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen Happy birthday sweet sixteen What happened to that funny face My little tomboy now wears satin and lace I can't believe my eyes you're just a teenage dream Happy birthday sweet sixteen When you were only six I was your big brother Then when you were ten We didn't like each other When you were thirteen You were my funny valentine But since you've grown up Your future is sewn up From now on you're gonna be mine, so If I should smile with sweet surprise It's just that you've grown up before my very eyes You've turned into the prettiest girl I've ever seen Happy birthday sweet sixteen

I am not overly familier with the work of Mr Murrs but I get the impression that there is not a lot going on between the ears and if he is given the words to sing then he will sing them without engaging the brain. Who writes his songs? Paul Gadd?
-
He directed my fave tom baker story The Brain of Morbius. If any of you have not seen it seek it out. Philip Madoc, Tom Baker and Elizabeth Sladen all at the top of thier game.

Open invitation imho......... If we are talking slightly creepy peado lyrics is anyone else slightly disturbed in this context by Neil Sedaka's Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen. You could interpret is as being 'Thank God now it is legal' or am I being harsh?

Charles was the first victim in the film And then there were none based on the Agatha Christie novel Ten Little Indians. He sings at a piano but the recording used on the soundtrack has a full orchestral backing.

I am not a civil servant but I must admit to tendancies in the other two. I will often get my haircut and nobody will notice and my job title is Environment & Sustainability Consultant. I liked RA's Eco friendly left leaning bent that fits for me too.

No she does too good a job, but now she owes me!!!

Just got ''peer pressured'' into my first cut since 2012 the other week Fair enough, I'm a bloke, almost 47 and it was a fucking mess , but still......... Always had a hatred for the barbers, even as a kiddie, and its damn close call as to that chair or the dentists one I hate more. Think I was around 20 when I started figuring out ''how many more hair cuts 'till I die'' sort of outlook.........two a year, say I make 70.....equals 100 haircuts. By not getting it cut we prolong our lives Following a meeting I attended one of the other people there asked which one I was and the secretary replied accidently copying me in. He was the one you sat next to with the shaggy greying hair. Nice to know how people see you.
