How's Your 2023 Shortlist Looking?
Bibliogryphon replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I think for your personal shadow list go with the names that will mean the most for yourself because these are unscored and only for personal satisfaction Obviously by entering a list in the crowdsourced group you will be influencing the future direction of names discussed on this site so it is a chance to champion your own picks but when it comes to Predict the List games you will need to put yourself into the mind of the committee so your national perspective will be less helpful here -

At my niece's wedding in Berlin in 2019. The evening disco had been pretty much confined to the younger guests but when the DJ put Winds of Change on all of the groom's parents generation filled the dance floor. Made me realise the significance of the song for people in a particular place and time -

I had thought Kylie was a shoe in for this and Bad Romance was my second place. May have suffered from two Lady Gaga tracks being in the final -

There are only 7 years on my graph which have achieved a 13th hit. Three of those have passed including the two years where we scored over 14 total hits. The next important date is 30th October when the 2015 list had the 13th hit

Dare was a song that I only discovered through this game but it was an answer on Richard Osman's House of Games the other week. Interesting result. Which one of you is Damon Albarn? -

I am extremely cynical about Rishi's HS2 announcement. Especially the plans to spend the same amount of money on 'Transport Projects' benefitting the North of England He knows he will never have to deliver this because he knows he will be out of a job at the next election and then he will leave Labour with the prospect of having to resurrect the whole HS2 extension (which the Conservatives will be able to point to as wasteful) or deliver a meaningful Northern transport policy alternative The whole conference seems to have been a chance for them to show off to the entire country how vile they are on the off chance of making Mark Francois jizz himself in a patriotic hate filled orgasm -
