There have been occasions on In Our Time where he has sounded weak or short of breath. Hope they carry on the show when he decides to call it a day

See it as an opportunity to learn more about 00's music. You may find some gems that have passed you by or you may be able to indulge the warm glow and gleefully proclaim "I was right good music died in the eighties" -

Zac Goldsmith who was also named in the Privileges Committee report has resigned his ministerial post and taken the opportunity to stick the knife in to Rishi Sunak (on the environment) I presume to avoid becoming Sacked Goldsmith -

I would just like to add my thanks to @Book for running this it has been a fascinating delve into our shared musical heritage and I think as a group we probably made choices that would not necessarily be reflected in the wider public. I would also like to acknowledge the rest of the players, proceedings have been civil and law abiding and it has made sure I come to the site everyday since we started these I will of course vigorously participate in any future games and press my ill-informed opinions on you all whether you wanted them or not -

Not a Stones fan but when we came into these polls Paint it Black was not a song I was particularly familiar with (I recognised it but would not have been able to tell you the title or who it was by) and it did come across as a more impressive track avoiding that faux blues sound that they tend to inflict on many of their tracks. I thought Jumpin' Jack Flash would be the one to beat but their vote has held up even with the large number of tracks they had in play -
General Election 2024?
Bibliogryphon replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I am more concerned by a potential appearance in the London Mayoral Jungle contest where the current candidates are devouring their own reputations (which are slightly less palatable then Kangaroo anuses) -
General Election 2024?
Bibliogryphon replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Does holding out to the last possible day make them look desperate and this would mean coming straight back after Christmas 2024 to a grueling GE campaign and most people are not at their most optimistic in January. I think it will be October 2024 and they will try to use the party conference next year as a clean slate Inflation may be down by then and energy prices more under control but there are London Mayoral elections in May which are currently not going well for them -

If they were the first tracks kicked out that would stand. However, we are now picking between the top 20% of the tracks we voted through to the final. -
