Death Anniversary Thread

Am I the only person who thought of Worzel Gummidge? -
In my opinion the Harry Potter books are competent if somewhat derivative. The films from what I have seen are terrible and given undue credibility by some fantastic actors (Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Fiona Shaw........) This does not detract from the fact that I do conside J K Rowling to be one of the world's greatest................ .............self publicists.

He was in Babylon 5. So surprised he isn't dead yet.
-
Hot Metal where he played two roles was fantastic.
-
I have been worrying all night someone would take all my picks for the next round. I was so convinced he would be a hit.
-
Hywel Bennett is the second hit on my Baby Boomer team.
-
He was great in Neverwhere.
-
Hywel Bennett a hit for me.

How many free pizzas do we get?

I am of a different opinion. The people who have died are a certainty. The Committee never go for direct replacements so this was a discussion topic until the next hit (in September)
-
Given up for this year March 17th 2018

I don't think Ken Dodd is a good replacement for Noakes. If there is anyone on the main list he would be a good replacement for it would be Vera Lynn. Freddie Jones is much older than Colin Baker but it would be a 50:50 toss up between Sutcliffe and Manson. I also this Dick Van Dyke has 100 in his sights.

My Grandfather lied about his age to sign up because his father was a violent alcoholic. He would never go into a pub.
-
Is Colin Baker that well loved?
-
He is a patron of the British Homeopathic Association so that should be good from our point of view.
-
Giving this a go. Country C W McCall Willie Nelson Linda Rondstat Pop Andy Bell Ken Dodd Wayne Osmond Soul/Blues Aretha Franklin Chaka Khan Randy Crawford Hip Hop 50 Cent Chris Brown Cee Lo Green Rock Chris Rea Cher Jerry Lee Lewis Some areas easier than others

Things seemed to have slowed down a bit so I was thinking who would be good like for like replacements for the seven hits. Peter Sallis - Freddie Jones (well loved British actor) David Rockefeller - Lilliane Bettencourt (Very rich and very old) John Noakes - Johnny Ball (kids TV) Joost van der Weisthuizen - Fernando Ricksen (ill sportsman) Mary Tyler Moore - Carol Channing ( US TV) Errol Christie - Stefan Karl Steffansson (Iller than they are famous) Ian Brady - Peter Sutcliffe (Murderers)

Seriously? There are many who blame her directly for the whole Charles and Diana mess. In my long list she is described as an Adultress. Diana was a great piece of Royal Family PR she epitomised the concept of "A Real Princess" cf The Princess and the Pea
