Well... I hope I just fumble my way to victory as it almost happened last year with my lucky clusters of pairs and triples..

So I thought yesterday's 1000+ deaths in Mexico were an accounting anomaly parallel to what France did when they counted care home fatalities, but no, today Mexico is already again at 800+ already. So in terms of pure intensity, the USA, Brazil and Mexico are in that exclusive club of 1000+ daily deaths. The UK, Spain and France (except for that one day) managed to escape it narrowly. Spain is currently doing an accounting trick though - which is why the death count suddenly collapsed. Apparently, they don't count cases where confirmation takes more than 24hrs (because it's not a "daily death" or something...). Also, the way worldometers is now showing the case numbers and deaths, it curiously shows that new daily cases keep increasing, i.e. the pandemic is accelerating, but the number of daily deaths is slowly decreasing.... accounting tricks!

Small update with only two new hits, Rory Gilsenan and Majek Fashek, a DDT unique. More importantly, this a reminder that the substitution period is now less than a month away. Remember, you can switch 5 of your old names for 5 new ones. And you can do so on the 1st of July GMT. As stated in the rules, I will already pick my 2 substitutions on the 30th of June, public for all to see. By the way, I have also decided not to award points to myself, should my pick Pete Felton still receive a QO. In the end, I've come to the conclusion that - because he didnt really get any obit at all - he just wasn't notable enough. There is a chance he might still get a QO if the Birmingham Music Awards take place this November (rescheduled because of Corona). They are going to give out a "Pete Felton Busking award". Although Pete Felton technically checked all the boxes to be notable enough for this competition, I just don't feel that his selection was justified in hindsight. Triplett, the Tylers, Hitlers last living relatives,.... all the last representatives of their eras - the final living links. I didn't know Irene Triplett was severely disabled. Those 90 years were a real triumph, I guess.

Oh, sad! The german version of the "national treasure" (the " are important). -
Who picks these people?!

His death succeeds the death of the store around the corner by a few months.

Well, my pick Rebecca Shadowen sort of has daily updates "still in critical condition", but I guess with every further day victory moves away from me. Killer Tim Brooks can't have much time left.

Who will win the 2020 US Presidential Election?
gcreptile replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
He's trying to catch that one populist mood that is going to make the masses fall behind him in a "God damn, he's an asshole, but he's right" kind of fashion. But he's so divisive, every voter he loses, is gone for good. He got elected with 46% of the vote, and his approval rating was never really above that. In national polls, he's pretty steadily in the 40-45% range. It's probably just not quite enough to win. He is trying to appeal to the white middle class in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania - but is also digging his grave in Arizona and North Carolina. As long as Biden does what he is doing (which is not that much, to be honest), Trump is not able to play his usual cards - which means he's stuck with a piece of cake just not quite enough. But he'll be going all out. This whole act of yesterday reminded me of Mussolini. He'll be going for christian fascism, trying to appeal to fascist elements of the military, the police, and his supporters. I think it's not going to work - the reaction to that photo op was not good for him, luckily, but I would not want to live in America in the next 6 months. -
It does give me a bit of a headache though. Do I link to the press reader link in the DDP pages?

Wow, what a triumph! Edit: Also, well, that would probably be the first time an analogue QO would cover a digital gap. So, I don't know...

Kind of a penalty kick many of us missed.

Looks a bit like David Bowie with liver cancer... or bad make-up?

So, Pat Dye would have been the one to pick... his hospitalisation was known, but nobody picked him.

Meh, I had forgotten to post that he needed a cannula for breathing at the opening of a Berlin exhibition just last month. https://www.berlin.de/ausstellungen/nachrichten/6161991-3041403-ausstellung-zu-projekten-von-christo-und.html Then I knew his days were very limited, but this was much faster than I expected. Here is his Interview, just three weeks old!

Personally, I also kind of want to watch The Witcher series, but first I want to play all the three games.... What a quagmire... -

Maybe Upload on Amazon Prime, 10 episodes of around 30 minutes each, about the blessings of a digital afterlife. Apparently that show The Good Place does something similar, and well, Black Mirror had an episode or two like this, too. But I thought it was pleasant enough. -

Alexandre Despallieres, who is a murder suspect in the death of Australian millionaire and recording executive Peter Ikin, is apparently so ill...he might not make it to court: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8371831/Murder-charges-11-YEARS-death-Australian-multi-millionaire.html Supposedly, he has Aids and multiple brain tumours... but he's also a bit of a shady person, so... decide for yourselves.

With him, and Harry Reid (and RBG), I wonder if they just want to hold on long enough to see Trump getting defeated.
