Who Do You Consider "famous For Being Ill"?
gcreptile replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
You're doing your best getting famous for being ill here. -
It's fine. Sometimes (very often) a single death fits several threads.

Do you think he heard "Leon stinks!" a lot of times? Maybe that's why he became a boxer.

Tom Long QO - very popular name here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7852163/Popular-Australian-actor-Tom-Long-50-dies-long-battle-terminal-blood-cancer.html

Well, you're likely in the lead right now!

Heh... Well, I had a feeling.... that miracles don't exist. But too much of a chicken too follow through. Well, my Windy City team is back in action.

Monarc hits the ground running with two sports hits.... I have no idea about obit cut-offs, but yeah, congratulations Mr. Kirshner for a successful title defence! Interesting however, how low the winning score was - and the other scores, across the board! The hit record for a single person, as far as I can see, is at 24. We were way off there, in spite of the new wave of people playing. On the DDP side, we had the third-most hits in history, with the potential to get one more hit to equal the second-most hits, with fewer teams.

My pick Nick Fish has died: https://www.wweek.com/news/city/2020/01/02/portland-commissioner-nick-fish-has-died/ Edit: Oops, sorry, he was only first sub, lol.... bad decision, I guess. My strike-through list is then wrong due to a last-Minute change.

I think it's bad on purpose.

Hows Your 2021 Shortlist Looking?
gcreptile replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It might be worth going digital. -
A Guardian article on him, almost 90, but apparently doing well: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/jan/02/amazonian-chief-raoni-metuktire-bolsonaro-has-been-the-worst-for-us Also, well my prediction above was a bit off the mark.

Destinee McEwen's instagram account has gone private in the last three days (after nothing had been posted in two months). Does it mean something or did she just google herself and found us?

Thank you Wormfarmer for hosting! It's a definitely a different game, and the balancing between high scores and waiting until the very end is something new and interesting. I only think it could use some tweaking, for example, it should be forbidden to wait posting your team until you can get a lucky surefire hit in the middle of the month because of someone in a crash, shooting, etc... A new month's team should be posted on the 1st day of the next month at latest. Otherwise, yeah, very slow final two months. I had two non-obits in the final month, and I should have chosen different people. Thankfully, the strongest opponents didn't do better. Also, both times, it was very close. As I said before, I have to cut my involvement a little and the possible 15-30 minutes updating the DDP scores around 3 times a week have to come from somewhere. So I will not be participating in a possible 2020 version of this pool.
