I just read that his father, Kit Culkin, had a stroke recently. Wikipedia says that his current whereabouts are unknown. Here's a picture from 2016: Edit: TMZ had a stroke in 2014. But the ...uh... comment on a blog I just read said "recently". So maybe two strokes or it's the same one.

Lol, sorry, you had the unqiue hit with Ershad, but I was too lazy to look up his first name, so I thought I just add his function.... ok, now I guess I better look it up... former president of Bangladesh Ershad.

Hers's a quick update: The first subs have scored, especially Michael Sleggs, but also Johnny Clegg (sub for some, main for others), and Tunisia's former president of Bangladesh Ershad. Plus, we also had hits with John Paul Stevens and Denise Nickerson, a unique hit for Banana who is the big winner of this update with 3 hits. Of course, Michael Sleggs also leads to the expected change at the top in favor of Death Impends: Rank Team name Points 1 Death Impends 1091 2 GCReptile 1028 3 Clorox Bleachman 1015 4 Banana 924 4 Cpt Chorizo 924 6 Joey Russ 895 7 Devon Death Trip 832 8 Skinny Kiltrunner 786 9 Phantom of the Midway 778 10 drol 761 11 Grim Up North 749 12 msc 743 13 Sir Creep 631 14 Book 384 15 Yorkshire Banker 310 16 YoungWillz 297 17 John Key 268 18 Prophet 249 19 Fixed Business 244 20 The mad hatter 237 21 The Unknown Man 208 22 Grave Danger 205 23 markb4 192 24 theoldlady 174 25 Gooseberry Crumble 157 26 Deathray 150 27 Pedro 67 140 28 The old crem 133 29 The Quim Reaper 126 30 Bibliogryphon 41

More statistics: The birthday problem (check Wikipedia). If you decide for an "old people strategy" you should REALLY know how to pick them. I would think that the chance of a daily double is about the same as the "birthday problem", i.e. how many people need to be in a room so that the chance of a matching birthday between two of them starts to exceed 50%? The answer is 23. Replace birthday with date of death and you need 23 hits to have at least 50% chance of getting a daily double. A daily double is worth 10pts. So with a probability of 50% it's a statistical bonus of 5pts. That's nothing in this game. You're far better of getting a few riskier but younger picks.

Yeah, last year I did well in the hit front with some old and easy pickings but in the overall score I was hopelessly behind. This pool punishes more for age than the Death By Numbers which punishes more for age than the DDP. In this pool, a 20-29 year old person is worth 11 nonagenarians. (In DbN it's about 5 times, in the DDP just 2,4 times.)

Kind of a lazy hit by the committee. He wasn't exactly their kind of celebrity, so they put him only at nr. 50. Still, good for them to change their ways. Sadly, I never listened to Mr. Clegg's music. Maybe I'll change that tonight. RIP

Clegg might well be one of the most inconsequential deaths in deadpooling ever. Though Blanco will be similar.

New documentary on David Crosby's life, here's an article with lots of health statements: https://www.wsj.com/articles/david-crosby-is-making-songs-as-he-faces-the-end-11562385662 "Because I'm going to die" “I have eight stents in my heart, and I’m going to have a heart attack in the next year or two, and that’ll be it,” he says. “I’m trying to get the music out of my head first.” "Early in the new documentary movie “David Crosby: Remember My Name,” the musician says flatly that he is afraid of dying after battling hepatitis C, receiving a liver transplant and now struggling with diabetes, on top of his cardiac issues." -
