Possibly also Foxy Brown. Let's look at her personal life: Assault, car crash, confrontation with police, another assault, another assault, jail.

    Derby Dead Pool 2017

Piers Sellers would have been 12 Pts, or 24 as your joker... Instead, you have Dreyer as Joker who gave you 18 pts. So with Sellers, you would have 6 pts more than you currenlty have PLUS the 9 pts Dreyer would have given you alone. John Glenn would have given you 5 more pts (maybe a tiny chance of 8 pts if he had made the Drop 40?). So you might have 20-23pts more right now than you currently have, that's 44-47. Shameless has 60 now. I expect about two-three more hits for Shameless resulting in about 20-25 pts (most likely Irfon Williams, Bobby Zarin and Sophie Sabbage). So your team needs about 80-85pts, or about 40 more out of your remaining members. Not impossible, but I think most of the ways involve Stephen Hawking dying.
  3. So Turkey voted for Erdogan's reforms. Around 52%/48% in favor. In Berlin, about two thirds of the Turkish population voted for him.... which is confusing me.... as if the people are drifting further apart instead of growing together.

Interesting. She likes to create trouble and is a bit of an opportunist. An idiot with a blog, so to say. But she could sue herself into the DDP.

Unbelievable to me, she would have received a DDP-qualifying obit because of Reuters: http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-austria-minister-idUKKBN1622FJ I'm currently updating my long-list as you might see....

    Elizabeth Taylor

So reports are saying that Taylor's last husband Larry Fortensky already died last year. http://extratv.com/2017/04/13/liz-taylors-ex-husband-larry-fortensky-dead-at-64/ Apparently , he suffered from melanoma. It has gone unreported the whole time as he cut contact with his family. I wonder if it's actually true. You'd think the usual papers would report.

    World's Oldest

Also, I wonder who was the oldest person alive to never be the oldest person alive....if you know what I mean, or well, let's say, the oldest ever person to be the second-oldest person alive without eventually becoming the oldest person alive. Maybe it's going to be Nabi Tajima. As far as I can tell, the current record-holder is Tane Ikai, at 116 years and 175 days, who died while Jeanne Clament was still alive and 4 years older than her.

9/11 first respondent (hey, also a terror victim) and pick of my B-Team Ray Pfeifer now in hospice care: http://pix11.com/2017/04/04/dying-firefighter-sick-from-911-illness-fights-last-battle-a-spot-on-fdny-wall-of-honor/ He's the public face of the campaign to give first respondents financial compensation (The Zadroga Act) so I'm fairly certain a QO will come. I should have put him in my main team...

Well, it was this "nearly killed me" that led me to post this. I was wondering if it was known that he actually had cancer, not just Barrett's syndrome, but indeed, we knew.

    Morrissey

Morrissey set for comeback after "fighting cancer": http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/bigmouth-signs-again-morrissey-set-10234900 He had to cancel a gig in Mexico last week after losing his voice. He also says recording his last album, or to be more precise, working with THAT record company, almost killed him.
  14. Update after a fairly quiet month for Sara Hankins, Bruce Langhorne and Emma Morano, plus a couple of changes for Shameless-y picks that have hardly any effect on the scores (except for Ben Suisala). I changed the chance of Langhorne dying from 70% to 100% and reduced his obitability from 80% to 70%, though personally, I believe he'll get the obit. 1. Golden Slumbers (171,13) 2. To Kill a Gabor Sister (169,73) 3. David Quantick's Showbiz Pals (168,74) 4. Thomas Jefferson Survives (160,93) 5. Poochie died on the way back to his home planet (157,85) 6. The Love Boat (157,28) 7. Still Life (156,77) 8. Deceased Hose (153,73) 9. Dead Ends (153,0275) 10. The Living End (151,79) 11. New Years and Drinks All Night (151,76) 12. drollercoaster (151,54) 13. Heading Nowhere (151,22) 14. Day in the Death (150,01) 15. This Mortal Coil (146,262) 16. I will not die, it's the world that will end! (146,23) 17. Buckets of Blood (145,90) 18. Pan Breed (145,19) 19. I'm Sorry for your Trouble (144,87) 20. Drunkasaskunk (144,61) I have to calculate the result for Bucket of Blood, looks pretty good, to be honest. I didn't have this team on my radar. Edit: Buckets Of Blood is at 145,90pts. Edit2: I just noticed an embarassing mistake in my Excel table regarding the score of Deceased Hose, it is two points higher than I previously thought. @ msc: Among the changes of the Shameless-y picks was the reduction of Suisala's obitability to 30%. This is as low as I will go before his death. On the other hand, I might as well do a Top 20.

Only Famous For Being Ill And Dying

    Derby Dead Pool 2017

Aaawww no.... You're pretty definite with this? I would love you to "hold the keys" of it all, but to share the responsibilities more. I mean, the most stress it at the beginning of the year, isn't it? Maybe recruit one or two other people to do that work with you? Edit: At least for now, I think it's too early to already call the Theme Team League. Francis of Arse-Easy will get more hits, I think. I'll need 1-2 more hits to win. On the other hand, I'll retire Shameless for the (hopefully) next DDP, because, yes, I do think I will win, and I think Shameless will always win the Theme Team League whenver it enters. It has already made it's gigantic, rotten impact on deadpooling and deserves to die itself.

    Old Folkies Home

Surely, a Guardian obit will appear post-Easter? For some reason, I thought he had cancer. But Wikipedia has him dying from stroke complications. He survived rather long in hospice, far longer than the 6 months imlied by hospice admission laws. Though at some point, I read that it was not a hospice but "merely" a care home. I might be reading it all wrong though.

    Derby Dead Pool 2017

Yes, same here. I mean, I take it, but The Sun and Mirror cover Sally Major's story just days before her death and then fail to mention it. Jessica Allen was out of the news for about half a year and then makes it. It's always a bit of a lottery. Initially, I expected Shameless to get 5 sure hits that would make it defend the title. Those were Lisa Magill, Hannah Lyson, Ben Suisala, Bobby Zarin and Jay Clark. I don't think Suisala will obit anymore, but Irfon Williams recently made the jump from BBC local news to Mirror. Sophie Sabbage is also a good candidate. I didn't really bank on Major and Allen, but you can always expect one or two to obit. Interesting story: Sophie Sabbage's book was read by Leah Bracknell shortly after her diagnosis: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/meet-cancer-patient-sophie-sabbage-12814766
