Even in my longlist I hardly assign a 100% chance of dying. Currently, only non-DDP people have it. Those you want to pick are usually young and relatively robust (pre-illness). They might be doomed but they could still outlast 2017. The best suggestion might be to pick those who already outlasted most of 2016 against the odds.

And who can forget... Joey Feek.

I think the wording doesn't rule out a sleeping pill overdose. The alternative is him dying heavily sedated in the end-stage of a terminal disease. I'd rule out a heart attack.

The year ends as it begins, lethal. I was a fan of his. Less than I was a fan of Bowie, more than I was a fan of Prince. His career was more or less over. He admitted as much when he said that there is no more space in music for intelligent pop music (said about 10 years ago). And he could never recover personally from that loss of relevance. I think the truth about his death will drip out like it did with Prince.

BBC says he passed away peacefully, that's what his people say, but, come on, he wanted to die the year Bowie and Prince died. "No further comments", sure...

She is 90, she has a 'heavy cold' she has decided to relinquish her many many patron roles. Phil will possibly out live her. Yes, I think the odds of that are increasing. If he was her age, there wouldn't be much doubt.

Strangely enough, I found a name today that ticks pretty much all those boxes, right down to being somewhat old news (except they aren't a musician). Might bring them into my team. A one-hit-actor? Deathrace, Hare's and Shaun's Death By Numbers drafts are ready. I am a little sad that Shaun's Deadpool is not that giant anymore. Now it basically becomes my "best of" of my 3 DDP teams. The HPDP is still unfinished. Anything else I'm forgetting? I've kind of lost track.
