Roy Dommett, creator of the UK nuclear arsenal during the Cold War and avid Morris Dancer, has died at 82: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/11980063/Roy-Dommett-rocket-scientist-obituary.html If I had known about him, I would have included him in the HPDP for the Morris dancing bonus. I also picked Phil Rudd there just for the drummer bonus. -
Henry Krystal, the psychologist who coined the term "survivor guilt" has died at 90, already back in October: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/11977806/Henry-Krystal-psychiatrist-obituary.html So many good people die, yet I continue living...

They're surviving without him, mind. A cynical prediction: he'll conveniently hover in the medical twilight zone where his fitness to appear in court is always under threat whilst his hold on life stays up there with the likes of Ernest Saunders. Probably. Though I wonder how strongly the arm of American justice lingers in the background here. There something similar going on here in Germany regarding the decision to award the WC 2006 to us. The responsible people are tearing each other apart in the press at the moment. They're selling out each other in the hope of escaping justice.

'Fundraiser and charity leader' sounds like code for 'famous for being sick' like Lauren Hill. DISALLOWED lol SC To her credit (or mine?), she was already fundraising before she got sick, for the Alzheimer's society. Maybe a first brush with breast cancer made her then fundraise for that? I don't know, though she died of a different cancer. According to http://www.theguardian.com/society/2000/nov/13/publicsectorcareers.voluntarysectorshe was a fundraiser for 20 years already. Ah well, let's see if the Guardian obit appears within a couple of days. I thought I might have a new Denise Marshall here.

Poland's former interior minister Czeslaw Kiszczak is dead at 90: http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/11/05/us-poland-kiszczak-idUSKCN0SU2VQ20151105#grG4xFhc6xuOLOIG.97 He was involved in introducing martial law in Poland in the last decade of communism and cracked down on Solidarnosc. Just this year, he received a suspended 2-year prison sentence for that. At the end of the communist regime, he realized that his side had lost and was a transitional PM and negotiated with the opposition and Lech Walesa.

Ah yes, or Justin Bieber (crack addict), Jennifer Lawrence (obesity?), Adele (even more obese) or Beyoncé (Hepatitis C). Gosh, I wish I were as obese as Jennifer Lawrence! Ah yes, or Justin Bieber (crack addict), Jennifer Lawrence (obesity?), Adele (even more obese) or Beyoncé (Hepatitis C). Jennifer Lawrence is obese?????? Fat girls didn't look like that when I was single! Ah good, the trolling is already working! (I was joking, but Jennifer Lawrence has talked several times about she is slightly less skinny than her colleagues. And some critics even complained that she should have looked 'more hungry' for her Hunger Games role.)

Yes, very hard to know for a new member, but there is the "The Next Piper At The Gates of Dawn" thread. It sort of became the official prog thread, but it is hard to know.

I'd like to have more knowledge about those cases whose tumours just don't progess - see also Valerie Harper. But I guess that comes with time. Wilko Johnson was a different case. He had to choose whether to undergo a radical operation with just 15% chance of survival. He was lucky: http://www.theguardian.com/music/2015/jul/10/wilko-johnson-interview-ive-got-a-future -
Billy Graham 'probably' didn't write his last book: http://religiondispatches.org/billy-graham-is-probably-not-the-author-of-his-own-final-chapter/ Of course, I have said it before - and all his sermons that you find by Google News aren't his either, they're ghostwritten. Edit: Apparently, he has had hydrocephalus for years... just like the king of Thailand has had. Great, two people on my team with hydrocephalus that just won't die...
