Apparently, Templeton was shortly dead three times after his heart attack, but he survived, which the medical staff did not expect: http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2015/04/ty-templeton-recovering-after-heart-attack-im-not-dead-yet/

The news passed me by, but the Sultan of Oman returned to his home country last month after being treated for something unknown at a german hospital for eight months. http://www.timesofoman.com/News/49272/Article-VIDEO-His-Majesty-Sultan-Qaboos-bin-Said-returns-to-Oman-from-Germany

"Babes in the Woods" murderer and paedophile Ronald Jebson dead at 76: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3055851/Antonia-Kidman-s-ex-husband-Angus-Hawley-dies-46-suspected-heart-attack.html He wanted his death to remain a secret to spare the families any more pain. The article does not state his death as a fact, by the way, only as a claim.

What Do You Think Of The 2015 Death List?
gcreptile replied to Davey Jones' Locker's topic in DeathList Forum
My guesses for those who are still going to die this year are these: Gabor, Graham, Adulyadej, Kohl, Phillips, Reagan... and then a couple of people who should die "statistically", as in, I don't know anything new about their health, but statistically, a couple more hits should occur: Richard Adams, Havelange, Sallis, eh, and why not George Cole. -
Yes, the committee prefers fame plus longevity more than illness. The "advantage" of this method is that, statistically about 20% of the picks should die, because the mortality rate of people around the age of 90 is about that. Then they add a couple of genuinely "good" picks, i.e. Sam Simon, Martin Crowe and the like. So 10-15 hits per year can be expected this way. But not many more without a lot of luck.

Nicole Kidman's former brother-in-law Angus Hawley is dead at 46: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3055851/Antonia-Kidman-s-ex-husband-Angus-Hawley-dies-46-suspected-heart-attack.html It happened 8 months after Kidman's father died. Hawley apparently was very fit and his death came completely unexpected. -
Has ISIS chief Al-Baghdadi died? http://zeenews.india.com/news/world/islamic-state-chief-abu-bakr-al-baghdadi-has-died-claims-radio-iran_1585671.html If he's still alive, I bet it won't be the last time people will falsely claim that he's dead. Also, with regard to my post above, Bill Young died the very next day.

I voted no... For some of the people who might deserve the death penalty, it would be an easy way out. I think it's a harsher punishment to spend the rest of life in prison, the natural life span, that is. Also, it always leaves open the paths of redemption, regret, or maybe even an opportunity for new evidence to overturn a verdict.

Looking at his imdb page I don't think he even comes close to fame level for the deathlist committee to consider. He might not even scrape a Daily Mail obit.indeed the guy doesn't even have a Wikipedia page The movie was a surprise hit at the American box office last year. Now, it was no blockbuster like The Avengers or something like that, but it made a respectable amount of money and had an audience beyond hardcore Christians. I don't know if that will be enough, but if the guy dies in the near future, i.e. before the movie is forgotten, then the chances are there. Richard Glatzer, producer of "Still Alice" was a similar case. The movie gave Julianne Moore an Oscar, and Glatzer died a month or so later. Glatzer also had ALS, curiously. And he "received" lots of obituaries.

I didn't participate in the Martin Crowe sweepstakes because I'm not yet convinced that he'll die this year. But I do think Bhumipol's time is about to come. Let's say July 30th.

So, is Ed Milliband sexy now? Personally, I think it's fascinating that the two key players of Barack Obama's campaigns now advise opposite parties in the UK election. I was obsessed with US politics for a couple of years and followed his campaigns closely. I wonder what a "ground game" can do in the UK. Evidence of its benefit in increasing turnout was there, but the effect was small in 2008 and possibly a bit larger in 2012. In 2012, the polls predicted an Obama victory by 2% of the popular vote but he won by about 4%. I think it doesn't translate quite as well in the UK election system, but let's see... I studied political science for a while (ultimately without success though), and I made the prediction that the UK election (in 2010) would result in a coalition government, while my professor claimed that Labour's structural advantage would give them the victory. Ah, that was a last triumph. However, I also predicted (to myself) that a lib-lab (or lab-lib?) coalition would emerge which, of course, turned out wrong. I thought that Labour was better suited for the Liberals than the Conservatives, and I think that turned out to be right. All the accumulated credibility of the Liberals collapsed in a couple of years... I do look forward to the upcoming election though, I think it's quite unpredictable.

it might be interesting seeing a reality star on the death listBut Prince Philip is already on there... (Thank you for the opportunity...) Prince Philip and reality in the same sentence? Heh, though on the other hand, most reality TV shows aren't really real, i.e. unscripted, anyway.

Sad, and very cruel how all the youth and optimism was for naught.

The Australian knighthood has finally arrived: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/apr/22/queen-presents-prince-philip-with-australian-knighthood Maybe the queen just wanted to give her husband a gift without paying for it.

King Bhumipol went out for a short trip: http://news.thaivisa.com/thaivisa-news/thais-welcome-his-majesty-short-trip/54567/ But it only took an hour and then he returned to a hospital...

He was at the 60th Asian-African Conference Commemoration yesterday: https://www.newsday.co.zw/2015/04/25/wheelchair-on-standby-for-mugabe/ A wheelchair was on standby amid rumours that he might be suffering from prostate cancer. Also of interest in that article is his meeting with Kim Yong-Nam, who I did not know before. He is the nominal head of state of North Korea and, at 87, very old for that country.

The breast cancer of Amber Marchese of Real Housewives of New Jersey has returned in spite of her double masectomy: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3054651/Real-Housewives-New-Jersey-star-Amber-Marchese-diagnosed-breast-cancer-second-time-despite-undergoing-double-mastectomy-six-years-ago.html That reality show is very likely known enough to result in british obits, though the statistics according to Mrs. Marchese herself aren't that bad.

I've wondered why, with all the categories, we don't have one called Suicides, where we put them all. I particularly like the jumpers and may damn well start up a jumper thread next participant. SC I thought about that as well, but for some reason, it was too morbid for me. I think that would be too much misery in one place. Fear not, we already have a thread for the suicidal: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3665&hl=suicidal Oh dear, it makes me want to create a thread about wonderful recovery stories.
