I guess one could make a list of people on the list who are definitely going to survive this year (that is, if they still die, it's not for the reason they were put on the list). For example, Michael Schumacher might still choke on a pretzel, but he will not die as a consequence of his accident. People like Michael Douglas last year, either he dies now, or much later. Anyway, such a list would look like this: Wilko Johnson (apparently beat cancer) Valerie Harper (apparently beat cancer) Vera Lynn (enjoying her comeback more than a 97 year old woman should) George Bush Sr. (his health scare late last year didn't kill him) Charles Aznavour (still uber-active) Possibly Clive James who has been on an apparently neverending farewell tour

Indeed! Actually, when the thought of this thread first entered my mind I had him on my list, but yesterday I forgot, thanks! Rupert Murdoch, 83, CEO of News Corp., has had a bit of a bad streak lately, both personal, with the divorce from his wife, and public, with the phone hacking scandal and failure of his attempt to take over...what's the name..BSKYB or something...

The third death and the third (sometimes) comedian. So I'll pick Dick Van Dyke.

For once, the dire prognostications were right.

The death list is jinxed. The wrong german centenarian actress died.

So there might still be half a year left...i.e. almost until 2015.

Everyone's favorite gossip site TMZ says that there's now a criminal investigation for potential elder abuse by Kasem's wife. She might be responsible for his condition and death "looks likely to occur at any time". http://www.tmz.com/2014/06/12/casey-kasem-elder-abuse-investigation-jean-kerri/

Wow.... well, capitalism needs the general oversexualisation, and the general divison into insiders and outsiders, to sell its products and to promote useless consumerism, and this is what happens when impressionable young people take it seriously. -
Doesn't he also have Crohn's Disease? Some people are really just doomed. Did he grow up next to a nuclear plant?

Yes, depending on the outcome of his corruption trial, Bernie Ecclestone might be a possibility.

Interview with him in Berlin newspaper "Der Tagesspiegel" (in german): http://www.tagesspiegel.de/weltspiegel/sonntag/charles-aznavour-ich-rede-hier-von-liebe-von-tiefer-liebe/9905002.html He's just about to give his concert here at his 90th birthday, also talks about "how many children he really has and why he gets into every gay bar. And why he wants to meet Angela Merkel." He's also working on a new album and on three (!) new stage shows (in France, in New York and in Toronto)

Worse, German. The only band I know out of the Madchester list that Wikipedia gives me, is 808 State because they had a duet with Björk. Oh, and the Stone Roses because they had one officially great album (that I never listened to) and one disappointing second album. And I though that WInona Ryder might also be on the list because of a possible overdose.

Ryder, was that supposed to be Winona Ryder?

Well, those fatality lists were kind of cheap. Let's delete all entries that were just "famous for dying".
