Best ever month for celebrity deaths
LB93 replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
March 2016: Nancy Reagan George Martin Keith Emerson Hilary Putnam Peter Maxwell Davies Rob Ford Johann Cruyff Garry Shandling Patty Duke Zaha Hadid Ronnie Corbett I thought November 1963 could be a contender, given JFK , CS Lewis and Aldous Huxley all died on the same day, but it looks like the only other really notable death that month was the Birdman of Alcatraz the day before. -

Back in intensive care for a blood infection, recovering according to his spokesman.

Looks like it's 5 months between Andrew and Eliza Johnson over 1875-1876. Richard Nixon also died 10 months after Pat in 1994. I can certainly see HW beating that record.

Reuters now reporting she's actually died.

Barbara to seek 'comfort care' at home instead of additional medical treatment - reportedly suffering from COPD and congestive heart failure.

Given his status as a war hero, his prominence, and the outpouring of support from just about every major US politician, do you think we can expect him to lie in state in the Capitol? The last person to do so was Daniel Inouye, Senate President Pro Temp and another war hero, in 2012. Before that, the last non-President was Claude Pepper in 1989.

I'm not sure how quickly symptoms of eating disorders show up, but in 5 seasons of Veep she's never looked unhealthy, definitely not this gaunt, or that much older than she is. This seems to be her only public appearance in the last year or so which is quite worrying

Speaking of the Berlin attack, Andrei Karlov's assassination was big news for a couple of hours before Berlin overshadowed it.
-
Sufe Bradshaw, who's taking a season off from Veep for "personal reasons", turned up in a cast photo last month looking awful, leading to some speculation that she could be ill. She's 3rd from left and the youngest person there.

Done a search and can't see any mention of him on his forum, but this came up on my Facebook earlier. Would probably get obits in a few tabloids. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/bailiff-dad-who-reached-fame-10282735

Swedish professor/statistician Hans Rosling has passed away following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He did a series of excellent Ted Talks and also did a documentary for BBC4 a few years ago, so a UK obit is probably coming soon. https://www.gapminder.org/news/sad-to-announce-hans-rosling-passed-away-this-morning/
