Er no. But then I wasn't right either. Lets call it a (1-1) draw... ...and 5-3 on pens

My principle problem with them isn't even financial (at least not directly), it's that they are the pinnacle of the class system and in my view as long as they persist, it will too. I have a problem with 'heriditary' anything. But this isn't the place so I'll bow out on it here. We can take it up again in Royalty or Royals, (not sure of the exact thread) if you'd like. Or of course you can respond here, but I don't want to hijack this thread more than I have already.

That rather depends on what you use as a basis. Civil list v tourism or etc etc. But anyway, I'm not about to get into any sort of argy-bargy with you about the monarchy. We're on opposite sides of the fence on that one ;). And of course it's not my captions it's just a gag. I'd have put a source of inherited land income or some other of the advantages they enjoy.

Another snooze fest, could barely keep awake. What is there to say about it? At least perhaps I'll feel less aggrieved when England play yet another negative game later? Ronaldo is a function of 'A list' celebs being granted more power and voice than they deserve. So far as I can tell, they'd have been better off without him, he didn't do much. His row Z effort was amusing mind. But it's hard to argue against the idea that Roberto Martinez was terrified of leaving him out. *Yes yes, I know I'm a football parvenu, but it's all gone quiet around here since everyone is still recovering from spending all Thursday night here instead of in bed. So I'll chatter to fill up the holes.

I'm using this space to reserve the right to come back and laugh like a drain at this in a few hours. This is win win, because if you are right and I am wrong I'll still be damned happy.

I've always said that about him. Sorry, I'll get back out of this thread now. -
Well, that's how to piss on our 4th July bonfire good and proper. There are many reasons why people voted the way they did yesterday and many anomalies produced by that, but you cannot escape the fact that Reform got 4M votes and that this resulted in only 4 seats. Lib dems got 3.5M votes for 71 seats. Greens a little under 2M for 4 seats. I'm a supporter of PR (as previously stated) but in this instance I'm almost glad we don't have it (though I console myself people wouldnt have voted this way had we had it). Fighting the Kaiser of Clacton is going to be ongoing. He's never going to shut up about the number of votes. My mute button is going to see some serious action if I watch anything political over the next 5 years. NB. Glad to see you got through yesterday somehow on apparently zero sleep .

There are some things that once put there seem nearly impossible to erase from your mind whether you want to or not. (the earworm tunes in those #1 series for a start) No matter what I think of Farage (can't stand the bloke as it happens) or of silly comparisons to Nazi's, I simply cannot get: Sieg Heil-on-Sea Out of my head. You're welcome.

27 to go. Got to stay up for that... zzzz, no, stay up....

He could have done that when he set the date

Oh I know, I have a mate who was a physics teacher, despite years of attempting to take the piss about short hours and long holidays he always won with the realities, easily to be honest. My sympathies.

And this kiddies is called a textbook. Study it for an hour whilst I go and do some marking in the 'staffroom'. Should i not come back, just leave the books on the desk at the front "quietly".

I fucking told you this would be a better party than either the BBC or C4. So it proves. Good work.
