Cheer up MPFC, it's not over until the fat... ...hmmm, sounds like it may be over MFPC.

I'd add Melly to that list. He's doing only somewhat better than Tammy Faye at this point.

Happy belated scsi and SC. I know scsi is a Star Trek fan (or at least, I think he is) and I'm going to assume SC is too, so here's a picture of someone sexy dressed in a Star Trek costume: -

Go Beyond Grandpa. And for the daring, go even further beyond Grandpa with Beyond Grandpa II. -
And another French one as well, Raymond Cambefort. With doubt being cast on one of the Polish veterans, the list of verified WWI veterans remains at 29.

I'm not confused - from the photo I've seen (admittedly grainy and monochrome) Cevert's legs and torso were no longer where they should have been relative to each other. Whatever happened, it was just as messy, if not more so. One Tyrrell team member said, when checking over the car afterwards, "parts of Francois were still there." Here's a tasteful documentary piece on the incident. Maybe that will help jog memories? -
Waldheim in intensive care with fever-causing infection. Sounds like he might bounce back though. Waldy's not known for being weak.

A bad week for cricket, Jack Kerr has gone to the great beyond. -
In a nice change of pace, a new Italian veteran has been discovered Enrico Garbuglia, bringing the total number of verified veterans back up to 29.

Well he can't be that bad off if he's planning on making $100k speeches upon his release (end of the article).

Well back in 2005, there were apparentely only two left: Audrey Lawson-Johnston and Barbara McDermott. According to the German Wikipedia, McDermott is still alive and will be turning 95 shortly. Similarly, it lists Lawson-Johnson is also alive at 92 years of age. Also if you don't trust Wikipedia, genarians.com lists them both as still living, and they do far superior research.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic
Canadian Paul replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList Forum
Well, either way, he's a rubbish 2008 candidate on account of his soon-to-be-deadness. Well that and he's already proven that he won't get a proper UK obit. If he pulls an Ariel Sharon though, might be good for someone's WDP or CPDP Theme Team. Apologies. Sorted now. -
African Leaders - Despots and Democratic
Canadian Paul replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList Forum
Ah, bollocks, another "secret" candidate gone. Not really a despot, no - in fact, quite a nice chap. Indeed, CP, Mr Mamo is the oldest ex-leader around now... Death reported in error. He's in a coma, in critical condition, but not dead yet. -
In all fairness, this thread is like the retarded child of a "who'll be next" thread and a "u guys suk, we coulda had more hits" thread.

What better way to check up on his health than to meet him for tea? Any millionaires out there got a couple hundred thousand to blow on DL?

Happy birthday RA! I went out and got you some balloons, but I think Windsor got to them first! Would you believe this is actually on the first page of a GIS for "Rotten Ali?"
