It's appearing in blogs, but we saw what happened with that and Khamenei. So much for my self-imposed DL break. And now a new status dons on me, one that is very appropriate given recent events in my life.

There's one for Bezzerides and Smyth and a few for Hamilton and Betty that are technically UK based, but are obviously just reprints from U.S. sites, and since that didn't count for Rukeyser last year, they won't this year. Maybe MIB can claim that he put this John Smyth in his pool...

Bezzeredies was picked, so was some obscure internet guy. Oh man, what a party.

Now he has "two days to two months" to live.

Interesting thoughts BS, the idea of neutrality in morality. Death doesn't absolve us, but can cancel out a certain amount of bad deeds, with intention as a large factor in determining where that line is. And to answer your question, no, I've never driven drunk. I'm a terrible driver sober, and thought of driving drunk scares the piss out of me. I have even, on at least one occasion, helped other physically restrain someone who was planning on driving drunk, so hopefully there's no hypocrisies involved.

Last surviving anything is famous for being famous. If Sister Lucia had died 70 years before she did, she still would have been famous. The same cannot be said for Allingham.

Keep up DWB!: Momofuku Ando Now now VSBH, let's not get smug!

The BBC is now reporting that it was pancreatic cancer... no wonder he didn't mention the type...

I agree, but there are a lot of small ones that can be fun. For example, I'm interested in Windsor v. AtJ at the moment. The only longstanding one is StarCrossed v. Post Whores, which is very similar to Fred Phelps v. Homosexuals and their Supporters, because everyone, no matter what they do or how they redeem themselves, is a Post Whore and therefore legitimate target. Also, because the laws of reason don't apply. Most of them are temporary though.

NASCAR driver and team owner Bobby Hamilton said Wednesday his doctors say there are still cancer cells on the right side of his neck and that he is continuing treatments. Dead now.

Nope, you just score points. Well I gave you your points anyhow. When a candidate dies, you gain points, which are then multiplied by the figure in this box. If they get no obit, that number will 0 thus nil point. If they get BBC/CNN/Canadian it's 1 and you get full points. If they get an obit, but it's not one of those three, then it's *, which means you only get points if the person is on your theme team (ala. Michael Mayne, Henry Beachell). In other words, it's just a place to note whether or not the candidate has passed the fame test. Anyhow, BBC notice is more than sufficient, so the site has been updated.

Happy Birthday BS and deadornot! Enjoy the first birthday sexiness of the year, the lovely Ms. Mariangel Ruiz! -
Was mentioned in I&P for 2007 and was selected for the 2006 DDP: A.I. Bezzerides dead at 98.

Listed among my "things I don't want in my obituary," death by complications from liposuction surgery. I hadn't known it was dangerous, though with hindsight, it's not exactly the healthiest way to lose weight.

The Weatherman Death Pool

Some suggestions: No under 18s No people famous for terminal illness No people already sentenced to death Since anyone with a wikipedia page can be chosen, it balances out a bit. -
Saw that Art had a surge of picks on the RDP and thought I'd find the reason. Instead, I found this, recent picture and healthy as an ox for his age.

Still in intensive care, but now leading a subcommittee.

Agreed. Getting one was a big sacrifice that did not go unnoticed. Not to mention that people think I want to hear their music when I visit their pages. Usually I don't, because usually it sucks and I have my own music to listen to. Furthermore, the themes that people put together tend to not only violate all acceptable standards of web presentation, but burn out my retinas in the process. Where's Room 101 when I need it?

I've heard about this before and I'd say it's well-worth reading up on, although it's utter bullshit. My best guess is that either it was a researcher conducting a study of some sort, or someone making well-educated, bold predictions. Either way, it's very interesting and does make you think. I recommend. Wikipedia article with sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor

I have one, but only because an ex wouldn't add me on Facebook unless I added her on Myspace. What a complicated world this is.

Re: Khameni. This site is skeptical, but, more importantly, has some pictures of him looking hale 'round Christmas time.

What the f**k are you going on about? Explain yourself, with examples too please.
