Not exactly health news, but an interesting topic nonetheless - cartoon editing. Personally, I agree with the writer.

Ideas & Possibilities - The Names

As good a place as any to post this I suppose... a bit of news on Jorn Utzon.

    Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006

Happy Belated Captain! Now, normally I have no clue whatsoever as to what women find attractive in a male and would thus post yet another picture of the entirely agreeable Angelina Jolie, but luckily I think I've been paying enough attention to know who Captain Oates finds sexy: Oh what the hell, everyone could use more Jolie: Hope you had a good one Captain, whatever your tastes may be!

You know W90, there IS a "World's Oldest" thread on this site...

    The Kings Of Tonga

Probably none of those, since most aren't long words and hallusinated isn't a word at all. Anyhow, I think Windsor is referring to some comments you made about iain and thus you doing something similar is hypocritical - at least that was my interpretation. I don't want to get involved though, perhaps you two should have a chat?

    The Kings Of Tonga

??? Hippopotamus? I'm guessing hypocrite, but I haven't really been paying attention to the conversation in its entirety.

    Gerald Ford undergoes angioplasty.

    The Kings Of Tonga

Well I didn't think my comments would be appropriate in the "Dear Abby" thread though.

    The Kings Of Tonga

I take it that this would preclude news of a miracle recovery, such as "King of Tonga said to be in superb health as he is towed back to Nuku'alofa" ? And you have to admit, he's much more entertaining than Gerald Ford. The Chuckle Brothers are more entertaining than Gerald Ford Oh come on now, do the Chuckle Brothers invade your dreams and force you to think they're young and robust?

    Most Obsessive Deathlisters

Aha, I notice TF is now a "Twunt Master." And somehow the Beaker picture fits. Though Beaker is awesome, I can completely imagine him as some overlord reigning over an army - nay, a nation - of lesser twunts. Oh, and Happy 1200 Bou! If it makes you feel better, no one noticed my 2000 when I passed it ages ago. We're just too cool for accolades. And if that doesn't make you feel better, maybe this might?

    DeathList "Dead" Chat!

Less than two weeks and I can be back into Dead Chat... I haven't had personal access in months, and now I feel out of the loop, not knowing what's going on with everyone...

    Sir Patrick Moore

Apparently Patrick aggrees with it., so I'd say this is a good place to post about it. Much as I respect and admire Patrick Moore, I totally disagree with his assessment of Pluto. I feel very strongly about this, although I'm not quite sure why. I think Pluto should fall out of the sun's orbit in protest. Where is all this going to end - Jupiter? Isn't Mercury about the same size as Pluto? if that's the case then Mercury should be struck off the list Mercury - 4879.4 km Pluto - 2306±20 km So Pluto is about half the size. Plus it's not about size (or at least entirely about size), it's also about proximity to the sun and other considerations. According to Wikipedia, which I'll trust as a fairly faithful summary of the decision: I'll have someone more astronomically inclined explained that, as I'm likely to get it wrong.

    Gerald Ford

You know, he looked younger and healthier in my dream too. Perhaps Gerald Ford is a more powerful being than we had previously imagined. Perhaps he, like Cthulhu, can invade our minds when we sleep and he's using his powers to convince us that he's young and robust for whatever sick, twisted purposes he has.

    Dear Abby...

Dear Abby, I have been neither drunk, bored nor post-whorish in the last while. How can I find meaning in my life without these things before I go back to school and personal internet? Regards, Spreadin' in Edmonton

Joseph Barbera still executive producing stuff. Not that that really says much. You could be catatonic and be an executive.

    Birthdays, Births, Anniversaries Etc...2006

Happy birthday MH and HCW! Since your birthdays are on two different days, and since one of you is a male and one of you is a female, I think the best course of action is to post a sexy picture that we can all agree on: She not my all-time favourite, but if I had a nickel for everytime I heard the phrase "The only girl I'd sleep with is Angelina Jolie..."

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Finished "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" by ol' Soly. Much better read than "Gulag," gets his point across without having to trodge through all the evidence and detail. Not good if you want the full scale and scope of the Gulags, but if you just want an idea, it's a good and quick read. One annoything thing: it's all one chapter, so it's very difficult to find appropriate breaks. I read that Gabriel-Garcia Marquez book that was like, 300 pages and 3 sentences, so it didn't bother me too much, but fare thee warned anyhow.

    World's Oldest

Too bad it was a female client, otherwise there would have been a decent plethora of "unfortunately for the 102-year-old, that was all that was raised" jokes.

    Billionaire Has Terminal Cancer

Ditto. I read OoO's update in the Ideas/Possibilities/Names thread and thought momentarily that Captain Beefhart had died.

    George Melly

Happy belated (on Saturday) birthday to Mr. Melly who turned 80!. Given his recent status, it may be his last birthday as well, though I haven't heard anything lately (google alerts haven't been coming to my inbox lately...)
