This sounds reasonable, however I'm not convinced that the Europeans should ever have been in Africa in the first place.. if that means a lot more Zimbabwes then so be it, people should be able to choose their own path If we were given a chance of having the UK taken over by the Japanese (including government etc), resulting in having a better manufacturing industry more efficiency/wealth etc, I think most of us would not want that despite the material advantages

Just call me Mystic Meg (7th paragraph down), and no you can't have this week's lottery numbers. That's not clairvoyance, that's sheer, unadulterated and completely correct cynicism! How on earth did you know that? I wonder why the second song was "Lying eyes" by the Eagles?

I really hope he makes it, he's one of the good guys. He did a great job on Crufts too.

she seems to have done some deal with Rupert Murdoch, as she's currently being heavily promoted in the Sun and on Sky. Maybe she'll tell him the secret of immortality in return.
-
Never heard of him, but well done anyway

This is a type of celebrity like an egg-timer. She has to die, and soon, or she is exposed as a fraud. So either she dies (which is bad for her) or she lives (which is bad for her). Which is it going to be ... Or maybe she sold her soul to the devil .. like that guitar player Wasn't it Mark Knopfler?

must be a nice atmosphere around the death bed ...

Your pioneering life? Stating the bleeding obvious? Were you the first to do that in Tasmania? What film was she in again?

He was "The founder of the Knob Hill Farms grocery store chain"

Did he lie under oath about Iran-Contra? Did he argue the toss over the Star Wars mantra Tell me about him his joys and his sorrows 'cos all Deathlist can write is: "details to follows"

Peace Activists In Iraq - Brave Or Barmy?
Youth in Asia replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
The name of his organisation is "Christian Peacemaker Teams", so I think their agenda is pretty clear. In first place bible-bashing, in second place peace. Although how walking around the streets of a Halibut country with a bible and trying to talk to locals does anything to help peace is a complete mystery to me. -
Why has the Norman Kember thread been locked (or closed) just when the story comes back to life again? I'm not irate, but it does seem a bit strange, and I can't think of anywhere else to post it.

He went to try to convert the natives A crusade to remember, And many felt him a good bet for Their death lists in late December, You lucky lucky boy, pro- -selitysing Norman Kember. -
... Your wife forgave you over time, But confined you to the spare room. Oh, what a tragedy it was, The strange case of old Profumo. ...
-
Ode to Profumo (continued) Your exploits have been recounted at length To great mirth and hilarity But you gave up the life of hookers and drugs To devote yourself to charity If Deathlist cannot find any details about you In any form of media Much as it pains me to say it, they could do worse Than look in Wikipedia

US Vice-President Dick Cheney has been rushed to hospital after suffering shortness of breath and apparent fluid retention. Mr Cheney, 64, has a history of heart attacks. He had his fourth heart attack at the end of 2000 and in June 2001 he was fitted with a pacemaker.

Aren't Outkast African-American?

Lyrics to "Rosa Parks" by Outkast. She was suing them over this until fate intervened - not sure why, doesn't to be very insulting, depending of course on what "crunk" means ... Ah ha, hush that fuss Everybody move to the back of the bus Do you wanna bump and slump with us We the type of people make the club get crunk

But did anyone see the body? How do we know he's dead. It could be a conspiracy. I read somewhere that he's immortal. "Georgie lives on" was one headline. So I voted "yes". But I don't think he'll make it to 2007.
-
But he had star quality - I can't see the same reaction if any of them had been sent off at this relatively early stage in life. Also, he transcended football in a way that few others have done. Funny how all the people saying he'd be quickly forgotten and deserved to die young are now strangely quiet. Could be the Di syndrome in reverse.

Do you rely on tabloid agony aunts to help you form opinions on difficult issues? Try thinking for yourself and you might understand this site a bit better. And you might find Russell Grant to be a better source of information for you than Claire Rayner - in fact he can't be too healthy seeing as how overweight he was 20 yrs ago
-
It looks like he's trying do the Dying Swan act - a bit like the Pope did - so expect him to go on for many years yet, and draw attention to his slow demise on a regular basis

No, and I'm a bit pissed off that someone else thought of the same name. I'll have to go away and think of a better one.
