I have no idea, but I had a look at the Wikipedia list of Class A drugs. It seems to me the relevant substances are: Cocaine Heroin LSD Methamphetamine Ecstasy Heroin doesn't seem to fit well with Gazza. He's a boozer and alcohol and smack don't mix well. Crystal meth isn't very popular in Europe. LSD is possible, but hard to find these days. My guess is coke or XTC as an outside bet. regards, Hein

As some of you may know I'm a Feyenoord supporter. Things haven't been bright lately for the winner of the 1970 European Cup and the Uefa Cup in 1974 and 2002. A 15th place (from 18) in the Dutch Eredivisie after two wins, two ties and five losses. The defenders are shite, the forwards don't score and there's no money to contract new players. Today Feyenoord played away against league leader PSV. A defeat was expected, but not a 10-0 one. Relegation seems possible now. I'm gutted. regards, Hein

17 out of 20. I couldn't remember Helen Keller's and Jim Henson 's names, but I knew who were meant. Gianni Versace was an obvious miss, as I'm not interested in fashion, or Madonna. regards, Hein -

I guess I'm part of that. I met professor Mandelbrot some eight years ago at a conference in Amsterdam, where he gave a presentation of fractal modelling of economic processes. Afterwards, over a beer or two, we had a chat mostly about computing, mathematics and beer. His knowledge of beer was remarkable. I mourn one of the worlds most interesting scientist and a very nice man. regards, Hein

Don't have to be Dutch. It's all about making your Antilles nestegg a little bit safer. If you want to launder your drug money through St Maarten now you don't have to worry about big brother in Curacao, not that you ever did. It shouldn't worry the Isle of Man. The Norman Wisdom's of this world are never going to move to Aruba.Ok, but what does it mean for stamp collectors? Before 10-10-2010, the situation was (in theory): The Kingdom of the Netherlands was a confederation of three independent countries: The Netherlands Aruba The Netherlands Antilles, consisting of five islands Bonaire Curaçao Saba Sint Eustatius Sint Maarten (southern half, northern half is French Saint Martin) Each country had its own stamps. From 10-10-10 the situation is (in theory): The Kingdom of the Netherlands is a confederation1 of four independent countries: The Netherlands Aruba Curaçao Sint Maarten Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius are overseas municipalities of the Netherlands, which are not part of a province. From Persbureau Curaçao I understand that Curaçao and Sint Maarten will issue their own stamps, while there will be no more stamps issued by the Netherlands Antilles. Bonaire, Saba and Sint will be issuing stamps together as "Caribisch Nederland". 1Actually, there's no agreement on the constitutional nature of the Kingdom and the Charter for the Kingdom of the Netherlands does not use words like confederation. See Wikipedia for a discussion. regards, Hein

Can't say I much enjoy the sequel, you know the one where the bankers are robbing the people! As I understand it, the easiest way to rob a bank is to own it, take the money and run. regards, Hein

Welcome back, BS. Your contributions rarely fail to add liveliness to our conversations. Your denial is recorded1. As to whether something or someone is looking out for us: that may be the case, but I regard such claims as meaningless in the absence of strong evidence for its existence. regards, Hein 1 As is the IP address from which that denial was sent.

Yes, I do agree. I hate that. And people's mobile phones ringing when you're eating. That really annoys me I hate cell phones like few other things, but I have to admit that they have their use. People who talk to themselves in public used to be nuts. Thanks to mobile telephony they're hardly noticed. regards, Hein

I've moved the eight posts above from topic The Dead Of 2010, as this discussion (if an incoherent rant and resulting confusion can be called that) seems more relevant in this topic. An investigation of the anonymous poster's IP address and his writing style suggest that the one calling himself Guardian and member Banshees Scream (now MIA) are the same person. The fifth paragraph of the post gives supporting evidence for this identity. I haven't a clue what the post is supposed to mean. regards, Hein
