New Here And Just Saying Hello
Magere Hein replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
We already have enough whiny Americans and people dull enough to know who Doug Stanhope is here. ok, very fucking sorry I brought it up, thanks for the fuck off notice, champ Cheer up! He's just our resident curmudgeon. Pissing off new members is a kind of ritual; it's in his contract. -
Shirley!

I like your rant, mate, but I disagree re Gace Jones. I don't expect people to love her or her work, but I own several of her albums, which I occasionally play and I've seen her play live. She's a good, versatile and very entertaining musician. Her composing skills are so-so at best, I admit. +1. Grace is fabulous. Are you sure she's not a "national treasure" ? National treasure, maybe? National fucking looney, definitely. I was thinking that as she's from a relatively small country, it's probably easier to achieve both those statuses Jamaica?

I have no idea who or what Doop by Doop is, but I sympathise with your thoughs on Coldplay. Pretentious twaddle. Speaking of which, a few songs that lost the Darwinian race by not being copied to my next mp3 player: Phil Collins - You Can't Hurry Love Elvis Costello - (I don't want to go to) Chelsea The Cure - A Forest Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier Steve Reich - Violin Phase Rush - The Trees Yes - Close to the Edge -
Yes, I was just going to check back on that. I think after due consideration it was allowed as being close enough. Indeed.

I remember seeing an interview with her. The interviewer made a mess of explaining the viewers what all that wizardry was about. She corrected him sternly and drifted off in an endless yarn of name dropping and office gossip. I know there was much drudgery in her work, but she might have chosen more interesting things to talk about.

Right. I could do with a pint, a bit thirsty actually.

Tenuous even by your standards We could start a rumour...

I think losing one's fear of death is part of growing up. I'm in no hurry to meet death, but I will and then I won't be there to care. After I realised that fact death lost its sting pdq..

The Found dead in a Swimming Pool bonus was born in the same chat, in honour of Wim Duisenberg, who was just that half a year earlier. ISTR that one has been awarded.

On a more local scale, the core members of Golden Earring receive their monthly AOW benefits, but seem as fit as may be expected. I suppose the first one to go will cause a media ripple, I think even abroad. Rinus Gerritsen 1946 George Kooymans 1948 Barry Hay 1948 Cesar Zuiderwijk 1948

I remember a chat with NAP in which we discussed the rules. I suggested the Morris dancing bonus. Has it ever been awarded?

Spoilsport, I'll just have to go and look it up now. Ehrm, To me neither.

It did not escape our attention. I suspect wodka was involved in his untimely death.

Ah, but a percentile is not a percentage. I won't bother you with the details.

That's where we learn if that familiy grave was a wise investment.

I wouldn't mind if they got a tattoo while they were having sex, but that's gross.

I'm glad to learn that at least one DL member has a shit ton of money.

The doll in question is genuinely disturbing too: -
Ehrm, how ensured suffocating him that Tiberius became Emperor? http://www.roman-empire.net/emperors/caligula.html Well my memory isn't what it was, it was a trusted Guard that did him in the TV series but, generally, he ended up as Emperor or summat. Nah, your memory is fine, just pulling your leg.
