Ah, Möbius, I always loved his strip. Indeed, especially his Incal series, The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius and Les Yeux du Chat. In his L'Homme est-il bon? he answered one of the fundamental questions of life, the universe and everything with a resounding: regards, Hein

Why is it that this makes me think of Quidditch? It raises more question: do the players employ supernatural means to score? Are plays like the Trinity Kick or the Holy Cross allowed? Can the crowd pray effectively for redemption of a player who's sent off? regards, Hein

Quite a shock, this. He played two seasons for Feyenoord (1988 to 1990). I saw him play in De Kuip several times. regards, Hein

[alert = "nerd"] Two months ago I started with Star Wars, The Old Republic, a World of Warcraft clone situated in the Star Wars universe, that's quite addictive. If you have a Windows box with quite some oomph, too much time on your hands, some dough burning a hole in your pocket and don't mind a string of corpses in your wake this game may entertain you for quite some time. Doctors are saying the Prince will survive, but he has suffered massive brain damage. Yes. Latest news is that he's in a coma and may never regain consciousness. Euthanasia is routinely performed on such patients in the Netherlands, but I doubt that that will happen in this case, so he may live for a long time, if that's life. regards, Hein

A question that remains is that of causality. Do decent journos pay the price because they're decent, or are they decent because they pay the price? regards, Hein

Today's entry in Room 101 is KPN, a Dutch telecommunication company and my digital TV provider. Half a year ago they did a Good Thing: they added BBC1 and BBC2 to the standard package. Now some imbecile there has ruined it: they added the Ceefax subtitles for the deaf as a feature you can't switch off, which makes watching the Beep unbearable, because I can't help reading the subtitles, that have a lag of several seconds to the spoken words. I used to work for that company, but as far as I'm concerned KPN may die for this crime against TV enjoyment. regards, Hein

Oh yeah, I've tried this but it's not that much fun. There's just not enough people to piss off in a home office but it's been nice to give up answering the phone, door, wife etc. I've taken to photographing ladybirds. Very relaxing, I've been told, for the ladybirds too. regards, Hein
