Octopus of Odstock replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I can assure you that Lewis Hamilton most certainly is not gay. I've heard the rumours, and know where they are and have been coming from. He is most certainly not in love with Adrian Sutil either. Basically, compare professional Lewis to Jenson Button. JB loves his womanising, but look at his career - in more sh*t than a cowpat collector. There's nobody gay on the F1 grid now. Mike Beuttler (British 70's driver) was, but I really don't want to go into a full-length discussion on this. -
Ooh, I don't know. There's only so much Claude Levi Strauss musing one can take........

Room Lovely, Look You.

A glass of milk & a chocolate digestive before going to bed. Playing the winning shot after an almighty rally in a game of Badminton. Hearing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong being played. These are a few of my favourite things. -
Continuing steam of drivel from only one poster, Godot? I can think of many more, myself included. Anyway, how to do it:- At the top of the page, right hand corner you should see My Controls. Click on that, and you should see on the left hand column, under options, 'Manage Ignored Users', click on that & it will give you an option where you put the name you want to add ie Banshees Scream or dave, click on update Ignored Users & Voila!

No, but what a great name, eh? Not Walter Casagrande, Diego Maradona or Gazza either. Nobody obvious. All will be revealed January 1st 2008... provided he is still alive....

Certainment Although by the end, my reaction was a strange one... I was laughing my socks off - what a farcial match By the way, the World Cup player is NOT from the UAE or Norway. That's too many clues now as you now have 2,476 players left to choose from.

Apparently healthy, or at least, not ill. He, like Perry, had been at reunions & celebrations recently. The one thing is though, Perry got a lot of obits, but he did score the winning goal in probably the most famous FA Cup final ever, and was an England cap, whereas Robinson was a stalwart player, and might not quite get the same coverage. But great minds think alike, because I thought, hmmm... Robinson, might be worth a bet. As it is, I do have a footballer on my DDP 2008 list, but I'm keeping it a secret for now. It's not Jimmy Langley, who is on my current list - this guy played in a World Cup Finals tournament in the last 30 years. That narrows it down a bit.

Bill Perry, one of only two remaining players from Blackpool's winning team in the 1953 "Matthews" Final, and the man who scored the other (and winning) goal in that game & won 3 caps for England has died, from cancer, aged 77. That's Deeley, Porterfield & Perry, all three FA Cup winning goalscorers, dead in a month. Eric Cantona next, perhaps?

Ideas and possibilities for 2008

Randy Pausch, 46 years old, American, computer wizard/author/lecturer has terminal pancreatic cancer. UK obit? Well, I doubt it personally, but you never know. Ultimately he won't make 2008, I suspect, but again, you just don't know.... -

Lack of evidence backing up your claim now, Banshees. Guess you've run out of conversation over coffee now. -

Now here's one to geniually keep an eye on;- Sergey Zlobin, former F1 test-driver for Minardi, who survived an assassination attempt yesterday. Zlobin was born 29 May 1970, so could be in for a bucketload of DDP points, as these Russian assassians can be quite persistent in their quest for death. -

They probably didn't - she was probably called Joyce Smith or whatever & when she married she would've become Joyce Joyce. Possibly. -
An ingenious plan, LFN, but I think you are giving Iain too much credit if you think he's old enough & responsible enough to drive a motorbike. More likely you'll crash into Iain when he's riding a tricycle. I don't know what insurance claims against tricycle accidents are, but you may just keep your bonus.

Conundrum solved. Interview with Gordon Murray who hates people going Hugh & Pugh, when it's Pugh & Pugh. Only Barney McGrew has a first name, because of the "sound" apparently. -
Well, he did get an UK obit in the end.
-
Well, only 3 - Tudjman, Pavletic and Tomcic - Mesic is the current. I think you are getting your Prime Ministers & Presidents mixed up, as there's been 8 of them, of which only 1, Racan, is dead. Anyway, in other news, Ian Gray, inventor of Gnasher the Dog, has died.

and they tampered with Colin McRae's helicopter, put something in Jane Tomlinson's drink and gave Amos from Emmerdale a lethal sedative. The swines, they should be locked away for life......

I would need at least 6 of my picks to die on the same day to take the lead....

Possibly Mr Guest, possibly, and, as always, I thank you for your interest in my DDP welfare. But I like to play my cards close to my chest so I don't like to reveal too many of my 2008 shortlist. All I will say is, surviving they live until 2008, I have three British sportsmen with terminal illnesses on my list. If you're the same guest each time, the amount of names in your team is going to be 43 -
I disagree vehemently. Sandy Allen has been well known for some 20 years as the tallest (or one of the tallest) people in the world & on countless TV programmes & magazine articles. Ahem.. that she is my pick in no way clouds my judgement on the matter... no siree... not a jot

May not just be Colin as this report says two people dead. God, I hope not. Losing Richard Burns was bad enough... to lose Colin would be a colossal tragedy. A really nice bloke, who I've met a number of times. Great driver too. But he wouldn't be the first, or indeed the last, racing driver to perish in a crash. Strangely, I looked at that report, without knowing anything about it some hours ago and wondered "wonder if that was a racing driver", then saw it was Scotland, and dismissed it. That would be a rather spooky & unfortunate premonition if it came true. Fingers, and everything crossed, but it looks rather too coincidential to be anyone else.
