Hi Michael, Thanks for this, at the post at the very top of this page, you'll see Stan Carr's death details. I'd be very grateful if the Hugman website was updated with some of the information we've found and when I can I'll update the master lists. PS For Hugmans website - Iain Maidment of Reading FC died in 2019 as per gov.uk website. -
Not sure if this was posted anywhere, but Peterborough United legend and ex-Chelsea and Newcastle player Tommy Robson has motor neurone disease - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Robson_(footballer,_born_1944)

I'm not into NASCAR at all, I'm afraid. I've only heard of the really famous ones who all seem well. Bear in mind that I get given information confidentially so I've been deliberately vague here. It's F1, Indy and F3000. OC is % of UK obit. Problem - C is the big C, H/A is obvious, S is what rowers do, Fr is Anna from Brookside, P is Cecil, Alc is AA, V is to do with the mind of some sorts and ARI is "old and ill". One of them has terminal prostate cancer. But not only are they unlikely to see 2021, I only give him (in fact both) only 40% obit chance. Based mainly on the BBC Sport Obituaries round up at the end of the year that is via the BRDC.

Jimmy Wheeler, Reading FC legend and former Bradford City manager died yesterday aged 86. Link and obit will likely follow tomorrow.
-
I would imagine it's Vera Lynn to both

Dave Watson (the ex-Sunderland, Manchester City and England player - not to be confused with the ex-Everton and England player) is the latest former footballer to fall foul of a type of dementia - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51507662 Sounds in the early stages currently.

I used to work with Alison and met her mum once or twice. Very sad news. -
Alan Bass, Doctor of the 1966 team, has died aged 90. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51492862

Trouble is some Danes don't get a lot (or any) UK obits as poor old Tom Belso proved. Obviously the majority of Denmark's senior members of their Royal family will. On that note, isn't Prince Philip technically Danish?
-
Not 'in the best of health'. McAlpine was too ill to be interviewed for a documentary about 70 years of the Formula one World Championship. Source: Me, I guess. Trust me as per Belso. K McA should get a broadsheet obit (if there are broadsheets any more) I would think for a number of reasons.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/05/bernie-madoff-says-he-is-dying-seeks-early-release-from-prison.html says he is 'dying' from kidney disease and has 'eighteen months to live'
-
I had to check who he is exactly and a bit of background on his personality and the fact that the BBC, Guardian, Independent and the Daily Mail cover the announcement of his illness, means a UK obituary is pretty much certain
-
Prince Philip is Indian as proved by this
-
It is, but for clarity, this is a non league team and not the team currently near the bottom of the Premiership.

I did say Belso had 100 per cent chance of dying, 20 per cent chance of obit and ive been proved to be pretty much right so far.
-
Tom Belso died at midnight Saturday. Just got email from his widow. Full link to come.

Found that oldest "not confirmed alive" player Fred Kilshaw is indeed NOT alive. Died 15th June 1989. Fred Kilshaw 24/08/1916 New Brighton, Leicester -
Bob Varsha, long-time commentator, quite ill with cancer - https://racer.com/2020/01/06/veteran-race-commentator-varsha-battling-cancer/ Despite being US based, he's been involved in so much for so long, he should get UK Obits.

Sad news. I remember her from Mr Hobbs Takes a Vacation.
