Also gambling again despite previously saying it almost drove him to suicide. Such a tragic story, his. Oh I don't know, I read that article from your link. He's still got a commentating job with the BBC that presumably pays more than shelf stacking at lidl or digging up roads, it says his 'house' is mortgaged and his cars (note the plural) are leased, he stuck 'only 20 quid' into a FOBT it was nothing.... I'm not saying a gambling addiction isn't bad news, unfortunate? Maybe, but his work and financial situation has some way to fall compared to a lot of the rest of us before it exactly qualifies as 'tragic' in my view. You've got to be able to borrow a million quid to get a million in debt, try that at the local HSBC and let us know He's still over a million quid in debt. A BBC Snooker commentary job is barely going to dent that as it's only for about 5 weeks a year - and he'll be paid per event not year these days. The comment about it being nothing is probably relative to the £20,000 he gambled on one bet at a race a few years ago. But almost all studies into addiction show that cold turkey works and if you keep in at a lower level you're going to be more susceptible to falling into addiction. Bankrupt Willie Thorne: "I'm potless, penniless. Even the Sky TV has been cut off"

He's smoking in that picture from years back as well. Some people just look the Grim Reaper in the eye and laugh, eh? No tip either; packet of Player's by his elbow.

I was browsing through my great-great grandfathers census records the other day and happened across an unusual place of birth for him in one of the returns. I Googled it and found a wonderful article online and emailed the authoress; she replied: He was almost certainly born in this cottage in 1830: Here's what it looks like now: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.234239,-1.6805313,3a,89.6y,26.11h,89.73t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sw6yH2Hd_jHm3BjUvSbLWdg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 This is your great-great-great grandparents' grave: Don't you just love the interwebbywotnot thing? -
I can't remember I'm afraid but it looks like Arsewipe has done some detective work based on when the guy's 99th birthday would have been and therefore the date of birth. Cue Drol and Arsewipe.

He died three weeks before this post, I guess you didn't keep in touch very often.... His death was not reported until May. Not my fault if no one cared about him. Who are you actually talking about? Drol created a new thread under the guy's name and made his post. Several other posts were made and Paul then deleted the thread and moved the posts to this thread but he didn't include the guy's name in the process. See posts 158 to 164 inclusive.

I've been waiting for this moment. You castigated me for posting the Nice, France terrorist attack in the Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets thread; since when has a hot air balloon been a plane? I'm still awaiting an answer to this question by the way. https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/2945-terrorists-topical-terrorist-targets/page-29#entry271669

Probably hiding away from her name somewhere.... This is worrying. I have a real sense of doom about this. I hope I'm wrong. "last seen in Graylingwell Drive, Chichester at 9pm on Thursday night and was reported missing around 10pm." They certainly didn't waste any time reporting her missing, so something must be afoot. Look what comes up when you Googlemap it. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Graylingwell+Dr,+Chichester+PO19+6AN,+UK/@50.8462611,-0.7691155,19.04z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x48744d63b9e26c9f:0x25f5b2a84bd8c24b!8m2!3d50.8463227!4d-0.7689332

Who Do You Think Will Be Elected President Of The United States In 2016?
Cat O'Falk replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
"Who Do You Think Will Be President Of The United States In 2016" On a point of pedantry, the president of the United States in 2016 is Barack Obama as the new president will not be sworn in until 2017, unless the former is found out to be a very naughty boy and gets tricky dickied or Abraham Lincolned. -

This prompts me to ask, do we have a Miss World thread? I'm fairly sure there is https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/8530-beauty-queens/#entry230854
