you didn't upset or hurt me. I was being facetious. Many musicians I know that play rockabilly, certainly would not regard themselves as "rock musicians".

Robert Gordon recently had heart surgery. Another to add to that list is Tex Rubinowitz (b. 1941) who is coming out of retirement. There's also Terry Noland (b. 1938) who retired years ago and was the only artist that was releasing full length albums for Brunswick Records during the early part of the mid 50s. Larry Collins (b. 1944) is still gigging, his sister Lorrie died in 2018 Also still gigging and recording is Charlie Gracie (b. 1936)

There's also a discussion thread for prog rock, another for psychedelic rock. Where's your outrage for that?

Kim Lenz has successfully completed her chemotherapy and her cancer is currently in remission. Kim is working on plans to record a new album in the near future.

Except I don't care

This is for rockabilly. They don't fall into the genre for country, rock, prog rock, or psychedelia... Also I figured that since it's the anniversary of Eddie Cochran's passing, that I would name the thread after one of his songs.

I don't give newbies a tough time, in fact I help them out if they're struggling with a source. And when I hear about someone passing away, my sources are from those connected professionally with the deceased.

Do you actually have a point?

Was chatting to Bob before he posted this. And if you must know we were talking about whether there will be a follow up release for The Coffin Draggers.
-
Because I can't be arsed to do it on my phone. Actually, I heard about Lewis before it hit facebook, but It was 4am here and I wasn't going to piss about with posting stuff, so I turned my phone off and went back to bed for a couple more hours.

Thank you, drol. That means a lot.

Here's my credentials

Toast, thank you. Yes, usually I will get word before it's formally announced. Worst one most recently was when Larry LaPole passed away. A friend of mine's dad played bass for Larry in Larry LaPole & The Pole Cats, also word got to me via the guys in The Trashmen since Larry wrote several of their tunes. And lastly, the manager for The Trashmen is my boss.
