I'm honestly surprised he lived to the age he did.

Sticking with Denis Norden

That soap triple may have already gone since Bobby Knutt died yesterday.

Awwwww Liz Dawn and Bill Tarney we part of what made Corrie half-way entertaining. Now they're both gone.
-
Along with Liz Dawn this moves me a little bit higher in the DDP. I got woken up by my phone buzzing with an alert to say that Liz Dawn had died. While I was reading the news, it buzzed again with the news that Tony Booth had died. Sad news indeed, bu glad to hear that both are no longer suffering.

I doubt she will be bumped off in mysterious circumstances. I'm sure there is something that was signed when they were married, preventing her from divulging any damaging information.

Q. Who is the greatest boxer of all-time? A. Jim Jones. He knocked out 909 people with one punch.

I was asked the other day if I was going to continue the family tradition by becoming a clown like my father and father. Of course I was very nervous. Those are some big shoes to fill.

Similar thing happened when Robert Earl Jones died. For 2 weeks it was posted, then removed from Wikipedia, posted again etc until it was finally confirmed.

Oh bollocks! I thought I had Heenan on at least one of my lists on here. At least I had him on our local deadpool. $150 come to papa!

It wasn't for Rick Steve's travel show was it?

More speculation about Trump's declining mental health (and possible decline in their marriage) after Melania introduced him, he thanked her with a handshake. Handshake moment

They were formed in Minnesota. A large number of the population have some Scandinavian heritage. Hence the reason why the "football" team is called the Vikings.

I never got to see him play live, but would occasionally see him around town (perhaps once or twice a year). I was at a venue called The Hook & Ladder, which was where they sadly held a benefit gig for him a couple of months ago. He came in to the club to speak to Lori Barbero, as she often works behind the bar there. I was introduced to him, shook his hand, didn't think anything of it until someone said "you know that was Grant Hart don't you?"
-
He put on an amazing performance. As he was led in to the venue, he needed one person either side of him, He had to be helped up on stage... and then for about 75 minutes, he was so animated that you wouldn't believe it was the same guy who could barely walk just a short time before. You'll have to come here to the States to see him play. He's barely fit to do a US tour, there's no way he'd cope touring internationally these days. I was able to get him to autograph one of the posters that I grabbed off the wall of the venue. Was allowed to stand at the doorway and mouth a "thank you" to him - courtesy of his bass player, Sam Bolle who persuaded Dick to autograph the poster.
-
Poor guy, he has enough problems at the moment without having to deal with that too.

I could be mistaken, but I think Sugar Ramos is my wife's cousin's favourite boxer. Her cousin is a middleweight.

I hadn't realized he was in a coma. Heard he was in ICU. Last report I saw was that his health had "slightly improved".

Larry's autograph takes pride of place alongside this one. I've obscured my name on the image as he personalized it.

Very sad news about Sonny Burgess, he was recently performing at Viva Las Vegas a couple of months ago.

Once in a while there will be a musician that I am not familiar with, it depends on the genre. Mostly I tend to gravitate towards country, rockabilly garage punk, punk, and psychobilly. I am excited about tomorrow, as I get to work with Wayne "The Train" Hancock doing his merch table and I usually roadie for him too. Anyway, here's Larry LaPole's autograph on the back of a Trashmen album that he signed at the radio station.
-
I've met Larry several times, he posted news of John's passing on his facebook page. My connection with Larry is via the Trashmen. I personally know their booking agent / tour manager.

John Peck, original drummer for Larry LaPole & The Polecats died on July 30th at the age of 79 And yes I know it doesn't mention it in his obituary, but I verified that John was the drummer in his band. John's career took him in various directions as laid out in his obit, Larry went on to write several tunes for The Trashmen, most well known of the tunes he wrote is "King of The Surf"
