They can do but it is very rare. Leslie Philips had a massive stroke at about 90 although he got treatment very quickly.Fielding sounds a lot more serious though.If she recently had a massive stroke that endangered her life a few days around still poses a threat to life she is not unlikely to not have another stroke and that even if smaller would almost certainly kill her.Also if her swallowing is compromised as happens in some major strokes she would likely need to be tube fed and would still be at risk of infection or water in the lungs.At 90 there is also likely to be neurological damage and physio won't work well at nearly 91.

The acting credit may only have been released two years ago but filmed a while before that.Two years is quick to go from well enough to work to being unable to swallow.My guess is he has had several TIAs as well.

He won't make 2019 when dementia affects the swallowing mechanism it is essentially over.It is a last rites scenario.

Let us look objectively at the list.Bracknell has stage 4 lung cancer and has needed her lungs drained and has exceeded her life expectancy.We have 4 centenarians and out of those 2 are objectively frail Wouk is on Oxygen and Douglas cannot stand up unaided.George Bush senior keeps having medical emergencies.Long time DL names like James and Harper are very quiet these days.Moss and Philips are lingering after serious spells of Ill health that they were locking to survive at their ages.Gascoine is in a near vegetative state by all accounts.Stan Lee is clearly ailing too and Olivia Newton John appears to be losing strength. Factor that in with all the other 95 year olds that could easily have a fall stroke oils bout of pneumonia in the coming months and this looks a decent list still.It won't break the record but I can see a 14 or 15 hit total come December 31st.
