Fair point had forgotten about that film as I last saw it when I was 8 .An impressive performance by Moore. I will have watch it again this weekend to give you a considered verdict.

Weirdly though Sean Connery was the greatest actor to play Bond in my view.Roger Moore was a decent actor but nothing special I just felt he fitted the character as Fleming spoke of better.Moore in my view though was a one trick pony he mastered the role of James Bond but I never cared for him as the saint particularly or any other role.

I believe his demeanour was as close to the suave English gent as described by the author. As I said though Sean Connery was a close second in my view.Sean was incredible also.I had to watch all the bond films to make a judgement.

My movie bonds in order: Roger Moore Sean Connery Pierce Brosnan Daniel Craig Timothy Dalton George Lazenby
-
Roger Moore was the best bond closely followed by Sean Connery.Timothy Dalton was a terrible James Bond with only George Lazenby surpassing his wooden acting.

They haven't mentioned hospice care but reading between the lines he is almost certainly under hospice care at this time.
-
Far too optimistic.I give him 3 weeks tops.

Or it could be a new name that is terminally ill such as George Alagiah Bill Turnbull or Sir Richard Hadlee. Or the committee might pick another old perennial pick like Work De Havilland Lynn De Cuellar or Prince Philip.

Whilst he looks good for 101 I very much doubt he is up to working out anymore.
