My father smoked 20 a day for a decade or so then quit 40 years ago.Last August I was with him when we were in a car crash ( no one injured) and he asked me for a cigarette and smoked one at the roadside.I was worried this would start his addiction off as he has an addictive personality bit he hasn't smoked one since or been tempted to.

Whilst listening in again on the Archers omnibus it occurred to me when Christine Barford was mentioned is her original voice actress Pamela Mant still alive? I have done a little research and found nothing.Anyone know the answer?

Lear is one of those names though that is known for his work rather than as a celebrity much like Sam Simon was.I bet most people of a certain age have heard of a lot of his shows.

She as I recall was incredibly paranoid over Covid and spent a long time away from her family (more than most for about 2 years +) just goes to show that you can't get time back. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way but a sad way.What a shame to deprive yourself so long when we don't know what is round the corner.I have known of elderly people who were like Esther petrified of contagion and I know around 7 people in my life that died afraid of Covid but not of Covid. Disclaimer:I am not an anti vaxxer and am vaccinated against Covid although I am due the last winter booster still.(I have had 4 doses) and regularly take a flu jab and have had all the other vaccines going you can get.

He looks very thin and frail there sadly yes.Doesnt look older than his age but a visible stark decline nonetheless.

Starting to look a lot frailer sadly.Not unexpected for a 93 year old.Yeah I can see him making DL 2024 if he is still with us.

These are good suggestions for next year. Seem like the names the committee favor and they are getting very elderly now. Depends on how many names and survivors die this year and /or whether any health news about them emerges over the next 11 months.
