I have a bad case of Peter Falk syndrome.

Taylor was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer 4 years ago. Rollins has had pulmonary fibrosis for years so not just an old age pick.

If those 6 are the only ones than biggest question is why didn't the committee go for Alagiah?
-
It is possible but he has had it for 4 years and us ill enough to miss things.
-
Where are these threads?

My main memory is when he was comically pulled to the ground by some nutter on Christmas Eve midnight Mass in 2009.Kept replaying it in slow motion.

That's the second of my DDP names that's gone in less than 24 hours.I only submitted my entry yesterday evening. At this rate I will need more subs I try not to pick over 90s for my main team.Unusually I chose two over 90s for the main team now down to one.

After the hosts have pulled out some hair , cried for half an hour and then had a stiff drink.

More like Sir David Frost in terms of global impact regarding top international interviews.

I wonder if she would have made the Inverse dead pool or even the Drop 40 had she made it.
-
I would think Alagiah was already on it too but if not the committee should put him on in her place.
-
Same only sent it two hours ago if that and I sent my DDP teams in yesterday evening about an hour before Don West's death was announced.Weirdly the number 1 sub was originally on my list but I swapped him out for West as West hadn't turned 60 and I didn't think he would whereas the other man was in his 60s already.

Hopefully the committee will let us know like they did after Betty died last year (She would have been at number 1)

James Hong June Squibb But yeah Newheart is the nearest name that fits in terms of American fame.

Deaths always peak in winter in December/ January. In my family over the years we have had lots of deaths around Xmas and New Year ( 24th and 30th December and January 1st and 2nd in a small family). This year I lost 2 friends one before Xmas and one just after. The cold and seasonal viruses probably play a factor. When I worked in a nursing home years ago they always said when I started that there was a spike around Xmas and January and they weren't wrong!

Oh for God's sake.

True he has a massive outreach so much so that I researched him and he comes across as a total fraud. He is a clever conman and is very good at tapping into people's heads and saying stuff that resonates on a superficial level ( much like a psychic does). I found it depressing that we as a society are in such a state of cultural and collective cognitive decay that this guy is revered and followed by millions. The funniest / most depressing element of this realisation was his university and how people paid money for it. I mean he is a very charismatic personality who says things that appeal to people and he does it by not only being outrageous but by being a generalist. He will say something controversial for clickbait but will also say things at times that appear on the face of it to be insightful but when you start deconstructing what he says there is virtually no substance just catchy soundbites. When he gets angry though the mask slips and he comes across as extremely aggressive and spiteful and has a real menacing intent behind him which is connected with his ego which is off the charts to beyond the point of delusion. An online commentator summed up his on camera persona perfectly " He is acting out the Chuck Norris urban legend about being supernatural as a means of nearly defying himself with his followers". It was incredibly obvious that he was up to some nefarious activities due to the extent of his wealth versus what he actually does.I mean sure being an influencer will get you rich but not to the extent he was flexing.Something didn't add up.

I think the comparison between Tate and Assange is weak. Tate is a meglomaniac not an activist.Everything he does is to further his own image solely he has no interest in anything else.
-
Not a fan of either but Greta utterly destroyed him using his own giant ego against him as weapon.Great job!
