And it looks like it was the correct decision to disqualify him, since no-one seems to have noticed that he carked it. It never fails to amaze me how papers love a story about a person with a terminal illness, but don't give a fuck about them when they die.

I even forgot I tried him as a pick here .. I never think twice if one of my picks ever gets DQ'd.. The Host of the games always have the final word in how they want the game to go.  There are plenty of options for replacements.

Both Christopher Benjamin and Joan Plowright were dropped from my team this year which as long as I can get some autumn hits seems sensible but a bird in the ground is worth two in the bush.

I'm surprised no one has picked Dawn Fraser. I had her on my list in my head but that is as far as it went. She took a bad fall before Christmas and had a hip replaced as well as broken ribs. And she is 87 now.......

This is one game I like being at zero hits in January.

I can see that.  Though it is better then not getting any points at all if at the end of the year they do not become a hit. Who knows that 7 to 17 points could make a big difference if the game is close towards the end, and may have the potential of winning someone the game.
