Well I said "I expect" and "but who knows". As @Master Obit correctly pointed out the other day, at that age it's all up in the air. Look at Germany's Charlotte. She was one of the healthiest looking supercentenarians, and she went before many of the living corpses. 

Similarly, I'm shocked that Ethel Caterham has outlived Tinniswood.

Looks like he died following a fall a few weeks prior. Sad but what a remarkable life, and definitely nicer to go without a long decline than spending years in a very frail state.

Gunnel Stenbäck, oldest in Finland and former head of the Helsinki Deaconess Foundation dead at 110.

 

Oldest in Finland now I believe is Arvi Hämäläinen, born in January 1917. Quite a drop. I mentioned Hämäläinen here some months ago, he's a (very slightly) locally notable costume designer and has had multiple hospitalisations since 2021.

Since his name has finally been made public, I can make this post. 

 

To answer an old question, the final man from the 1900s decade is likely Manoel Ribiero da Silva of Brazil (b. 19 May 1909). Although unvalidated, I have good faith his age is indeed correct. He is Semi-Documented.
