football_fan 41 Posted July 22, 2005 Actor Roy Scheider, best known as the rugged police chief in "Jaws", was nominated for an oscar in "The French Connection", and starred in "The Rainmaker", is suffering from multiple myeloma. He recently underwent a bone-marrow transplant, but the disease is incurable and he has been battling it for several months. He is definitely one to keep an eye on.
