If I were to admit to doing that on the forum I would use a false name aswell.
football_fan 42 Posted August 14, 2005 There is still no mention of James Booth’s death from any of the other major news sources. At this point, the story sounds like an elaborate hoax.
Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 14, 2005 There is still no mention of James Booth’s death from any of the other major news sources. At this point, the story sounds like an elaborate hoax. IMDB has him reported as living. I also searched the net and came up with nothing.
football_fan 42 Posted August 14, 2005 Perhaps your on the right track FF. It looks like I was wrong to dismiss this story. Guest Diana Blackwell Posted August 14, 2005 I regret to report that James Booth is definitely dead. When the news first came to me, via email from a stranger, I was at first a little dubious. But an email to James Booth's son, Matthew, has removed all doubt. James died on 8/11/05 at home, in bed, peacefully. The full text of Matthew's email will soon become available on my tribute site (www.jamesbooth.org). In the meantime, you can read obituaries at: http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/tm_obje...-name_page.html http://news.independent.co.uk/people/obitu...ticle305488.ece Yours truly, Diana Blackwell www.jamesbooth.org
Paul Bearer 6,130 Posted August 14, 2005 Why isn't James Booths death mentioned on the BBC,they gave a big obituary to Barbara Bel Geddes, and James Booth is better known in the UK than her. I've emailed the BBC news dept. about this omission,so hopefully they'll do something. I hate to break this to you Tempus, but until this was posted, I had never heard of him. Not that I'm an authority on this, but I wouldn't have put him in as being famous enough.
Tuber Mirum 126 Posted August 14, 2005 I'd never heard of him either, but then again I'd also never heard of this lady who has managed to merit an obit on the BBC.
