A harder case to call is - Tom Stephens - the other guy arrested, if he doesn't get a custodial sentence, gets one and gets out soonish or simply gets off completely he'll still probably need anonymity. When one of Jamie Bulger's killers was moved to Carlisle and found a job in a local factory he lasted less than a week before it was wall to wall on a football message board and he was obliged to leave town ahead of the mob that was most definitely on its way. Certainly the more recent notorious crims - Bulger 2, Ma><ine Carr - go in fear of their lives every day.
