Sir Creep 7,070 Posted May 7, 2020 Hillstone Restaurant Group establishment in Dallas told returning workers no face masks of any kind are allowed as restaurants prepared to reopen at 25% capacity. One employee, who did not want to be identified publicly, expressed discomfort and was told to think about it — and then was removed from the schedule. Another employee said some agreed to work because they were offered a 40-hour work week, but were told if they declined, they wouldn't be eligible for rehire. The employees said management also told her that face masks don't complement the restaurant group's style or level of hospitality. SC
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 3, 2021 Kroger (Fortune 500 grocery store) is closing two stores in California rather than pay grocery workers an extra four dollars an hour for working at the nation's largest supermarket chain during the coronavirus pandemic. The company blamed a decision by local officials who recently approved a temporary wage increase for some supermarket employees. Kroger called the city's decision to hike emergency pay "misguided."
